2poor2tune 08-24-2010 09:36 PM

yea thats what i do.

koby 08-24-2010 09:39 PM

The fact that I spent less than 40 and I got some mounting brackets with it.

2poor2tune 08-24-2010 09:49 PM

oh cool. i wish i had mounting brackets. until i do zip ties will have to do

koby 08-24-2010 09:52 PM

Exactly... Zip ties fuckin suck. I got 15000k 2 year warranty all the normal ish and brackets for 31 bucks shipped

2poor2tune 08-24-2010 09:54 PM

pshh you must be using the cheap zip ties. i bought huge ones that you can release and use again haha. they will be just fine.

koby 08-24-2010 10:01 PM

But look sketchy... The performance of zip ties are alright just the look is what sucks. Anyway... I polished the wheels a little more and hopefully will be putting some tires on them

2poor2tune 08-24-2010 10:05 PM

they dont look sketchy because the car is tucked brah. it will be hard to see in my fender well with the 225/50/15 bfg drag radials in the way now anyway haha i cant wait to put these things on and roll around town in a drag stance

aftrNooNDlight 08-25-2010 08:21 AM

Sooooo You just never use the brights? I guess they arnt needed with the hids as lows

trujdm 08-25-2010 07:12 PM

On a really dark road, the high beams still help just a bit. The majority of your light will be from the HID's though.

whitemike881 08-25-2010 07:44 PM

sold mine

loose boost 08-25-2010 08:01 PM

U sol d the rhd?! Whts the next project?

2poor2tune 08-25-2010 09:44 PM

yea but you can buy high beams that actually fuction like high beams idk where but my friend has them in his ef hatch right now and it works great and looks good when they are both on

die in a dick fire noob 08-26-2010 05:17 AM

you would just run 2 sets of hids for the 9006 type. one in the high beam slot and one in the low. the reflector in the high beam spot is what really makes the difference.

2poor2tune 08-26-2010 08:31 AM

really? i always thought it was a brighter bulb. seems easy enough though

die in a dick fire noob 08-26-2010 09:11 AM

it is a brighter bulb, but with hid's in a single headlight what they do is move it forward and back to increase the magnification, that's what you'll see in an h4 housing light like on a silvia or trueno. with headlights that have dual bulbs the high beam is slightly brighter but mostly it's angled up and has more reflection inside the housing.

crxhfb16 08-26-2010 09:18 AM

i think my tensioner pulley is going bad, and its such a pain in the ass to get to. may just take it up to collective to get fixed.

2poor2tune 08-26-2010 03:56 PM

good to know thanks.

today i pulled the rest of my front suspension off and sold a few things. im hoping to have my car off of jack stands in the next couple days

jdmrex1 08-27-2010 04:06 PM

EFfective 08-27-2010 05:38 PM

sikrex23 08-27-2010 08:15 PM

aftrNooNDlight 08-28-2010 05:52 AM

I thought about it while I ordered parts for my eg... I gots to get the daily looking decent before I can continue on the ef

2poor2tune 08-28-2010 09:37 AM

crxhfb16 08-28-2010 07:35 PM

aftrNooNDlight 08-28-2010 10:06 PM

Ordered full amber corner and bumper lights...from egay...hopefully they fit right

2poor2tune 08-29-2010 06:57 PM

Today I finished the passenger side ifthe wire tuck and half on the driver side. I ran it from the cab of the car threw the frame rail which I have never seen or heard of before. I'll post pics in a little. It was super easy

EFfective 08-29-2010 11:16 PM

thats how were doing my black car. did you find a new sub frame yet?

Trick 08-30-2010 03:17 AM

put the front end back on after paiting it a couple of days ago n replacing the tranny seal...

2poor2tune 08-30-2010 07:07 AM

Yea some nice guy sod me one for 20 bucks. It was a pain to swap the steering rack but once I figured it out it was cool. It's painted and on the car already. I wanna get these pictures up to see if you are doing it the same way I am. It's so simple. I drilled one 1/4 inch hole from the inside on the firewall and threw the frame, extended only the wires needed and got rid of the 50 grounds. I grounded all the lights really close to the connectors themselves.

2poor2tune 08-30-2010 09:29 AM

here are the front pictures ill get some of the inside once i clean it up a bit.

g2integy 08-30-2010 01:45 PM

God Damn those are some huge tires! jk looks good !

Roadkill09 08-30-2010 03:18 PM

i finished my b16 swap, got rid of my "wetback rims" and put meshies on it with extended studs and lug nuts

trujdm 08-30-2010 03:33 PM

My wires come out of the grommet on the far left side of your first pic and then into the frame leading up to the front. I ran my windshield wiper motor wires through the frame and out the hole next to the motor itself, worked out well IMO.

vtakdis 08-30-2010 05:11 PM

today i put new taillights in no more altezzas! reattached the sunvisors and that was it for today

sikrex23 08-30-2010 06:49 PM

got the OBD 1 conversion done. The car runs a little rough but it runs! Will adjust timing and turn it over again.

2poor2tune 08-30-2010 07:05 PM

drag radial!!!! im hoping they will help with the traction issue i should be seeing here in a few days

i need to take more pictures of where my harness is actually entering the frame so you can see what i mean but i refuse to take a picture right now because theres no loom or tape around some of the wires and it looks ugly

finished sanding the passenger side....

there was so much clear coat on this thing. it took forever to get threw

knickick 08-30-2010 09:00 PM

Wow! You have nice aluminum DA radiator. I hope that I could also have it. :D
