Both of the huskies got up just after the pic was taken and they put there ears up and heads down, like when they are on the prowl or hunting. So just wondering what it could be. It was up on the rim near the lakes.

In that case i say like a wolf or a Coyote (sorry for the spelling). I wouldnt think its a wolf since wolfs are kinda rare and arent seen around alot but never know.

Understandable. But the reason i think its a fox/coyote is because of the shape of the eyes and how the head is kinda. Once i get my computer in from Cali i can do more since i have better programs and all to clear it up and brighten it. But since your dogs did the bow head and all, which usually means like a "im not an enemy to you" type thing i want to say it was wolf. And as for distance. Since i cant see much, cant really do it mathmatically to get exact distance but from the looks of it when brightening and all, i would say 2-3 trees away.

looks to be 5 to 10 meters away. from the pic on top, the eyes looks pretty high up. i kno for sure its no fox cuz of the height difference. maybe a BIG wolf or coyote like tauntdevil said.

Alright so i did some stuff to it. Seems to look like a wolf running. Not stationed. In the picture you cant see it clearly but the noise lines show it kinda.

so two days later.

This shit happens all the time haha. We always go camping in the rim and I always see stuff. I'll be pissing and I shine my flashlight out to the middle of nowhere and 5 out of 10 times you see the reflection of eyes. It's just all the animals out there. We have seen. Deer, Elk, Foxes, Skunks, Pigs, Coyotes... Everytime we go to sleep I make sure the fire is still going but very small. That way you keep all the animals away.
