Need help with a idle problem....
 

hey guys got a question for ya that im in need of help with...... my integra has a b18c1 with all the bolt on's..... was running fine and then last week i started it and the idle kicks up to 4000-5000 for about 2-4 minutes..... and then will start a idle pulse from 2000-3000..... i replaced the map senor on the throttle body no difference (but when i unplug the hose (the one going into the throttle body) to the map sensor it idles constantly at 800 but burns rich and like crap.... couldn't find any vacuum leaks and tested throttle positioning sensor and it seems to be good....... anyone got any ideas???? oh know anyone

You have a vacuum leak. Look harder

someone said part cleaner and spray it on all the areas where a vacuum leek would occur and the idle should surge..... that correct?

Did you clean the idle air control valve?

why did you replace MAP sensor?.. Is the car obd2? any CELS? How did u test your TPS?

Could you guys explain to me how any of those things would cause the idle to hit 4-5k?

Has either a huge vac leak or the tb is open.

I baught a car like this guy couldnt figure out the issue. Check you idle screw sometimes the lock nut breaks loose. Idle that high it a tb open or vacum leak like c.r.a.y. stated check your hoses maybe ones dried and cracked all the way open

peDo this but do not get in in your dizzy. I would spray it directly on anything just near shit. I did it on my hatch and found it fast no problem. It will jump up once the fumes get in a leak. Hope this helps
