Does anyone know if they makes ITB's for the H22A? I hears somebody talkin about it but did not know if it was true or not

KseriesEK 08-18-2009 04:57 PM

whats cereal?!

Squeekz 08-19-2009 01:48 PM

Itb's are individual throttle bodies, cereal is a breakfast food lol, is it really hard to tune????

Mr.Burner 08-19-2009 04:26 PM

^ ya we got it...

as for tuning, i would say there tricky not hard....

Not intended for street use, its either wide open or nothin!!

It would be ideal to have 12:5 or more compression, ported head, race header and s300 hondata to get the full potential out of the ITB's

sounds like its time for joe to chime in.

adam 08-19-2009 06:48 PM

I don't think there's much fact in that statement.

locash 08-19-2009 07:30 PM

Actually, there is some truth in that statement.. If you don't have a properly designed airbox, the ITB's are more of a light switch, either off, or on. In my opinion, only a fool would put ITB's on a street car without a proper plenum and filter assembly..

I hate tuning them.

adam 08-19-2009 07:43 PM

Word. I retract my previous statement then.

Have heard otherwise from different people, but you're a much more reliable source. haha

But it definitely IS possible to DD Itb's.

taggart_lumpy 08-19-2009 09:31 PM

its is def possible to dd them since some cars come with them from the factory... but those also have an attached plenum and filter system ;)

corey we already chatted about this, and i still stand behind what i said. just get a good intake manifold.

Itbs are the shit loud and fast. But yea not for a dd. A nice built all motor and itb are love

Squeekz 08-23-2009 06:17 PM

Thanks for the info guys, so It would probably make more sence to get a good intake manifold since it is a dd?? Well I want to really get the car into low 13's high 12's but just need some info on what I can do to get it there or if it's not worth it, Im thinkin about gettin type s pistons and cams, drag header bad ass hondata, bigger injectors?? Just need some input new with the H22, thanks

kawazymonkey 08-25-2009 08:45 AM

Header, Cams+Springs+Retainers, Throttle Body, P72 on chrome if your still running the stock IM, Thin headgasket if you want more compression OR flat faced valves while the head is off for the cam swap. Or spray it. Theres a lot you can do without opening up the bottom end. My buddies STOCK H22 in his Ek coupe went 13.9 with full interior on street tires
