Diy block sleeve
click the link and comment. I personally wouldn't do it myself but have heard great results. A friend of mine just ran his b series build on the same sleeve setup and hasn't had a problem yet. Just found it to be out of the ordinary and different. sorry if its a repost. |
might be interesting to try it on a spare block and see how long till it blows up! :D

My buddy has made 5 or 6 passes on mid 20's psi or so. Hasn't had any problem with overheating or the material breaking down. If you take your time and do it right I believe its reliable. His setup is a bonestock b16, just a new head gasket, oilpump and waterpump. And besides the arp headstuds and acl race bearings.

Oh and it will probably hold till vtec kicks in yo!
|
Technically thats not a block sleeve. Thats 'closing the deck' so to speak. It helps the cylinders resist walking.
It has worked well for medium boost constantly. |
put some concrete in them shits
|
so whats this exacly? is it the same as a blockguard?
|
Yeah... it's no different than a block guard you can buy stupid cheap on eBay.
|
im pretty sure it failed in the end. then again it was 36psi on a crap tune
|
People have been doing cement for years. most shops do it and dont talk about it
