Question about rack and pinion / cv axle
 

So long story short, my buddy got a DUI in his moms car ( 2004ish Acura tsx ) last night. In the process he took a turn to quickly and hit a curb with the drivers side wheel.

The axle, rack and pinion and brake line are separated. The axle from the transmission and the rack and pinion to the wheel I'm pretty sure.

His mother had JUST replaced the lower control arm ( which is now broken ) and the axle.

My questions are-

If the rack and pinion got separated what are the chances of it being broken?

The axle popped out of the transmission, so would the axle be toast? Or could we just get new bearings and a boot and put it back in?

Where would be the most inexpensive place to get-

Brake line
Lower control arm
Rack and pinion
Cv axle
