GSR Blades Tire ?'s

What's the widest tire you can run on a GSR blade safely, I got some 225/50's that I can't sell if my life depended on it so I want to throw them on the front of the project dc2. Any opinions and information is welcome, thanks ahead of time!

egsi 09-08-2008 02:38 AM

i think it all depends on how low the car is,but not sure.you can run any 15 inch tire on these safley, but big ass tires will rub!

SofaKingTyte 09-08-2008 02:40 AM

I think they'll squeeze on but shit yo, thats gonna be a tight fit inside a teg wheel well

BBSick 09-08-2008 02:40 AM

OK thanks man, any other opinions?

BBSick 09-08-2008 02:42 AM

I knew you would come through my nigga, oh well the blades right now got 195/65 on them right now, that's like mt lemmon status nig!

SofaKingTyte 09-08-2008 02:45 AM

HOLY HELL, 65s?!?!?!?! lol sexiness, turn the teg into an off-road machine and lets hit up redington pass

BBSick 09-08-2008 02:47 AM

You grab the ammo and I'll get the bud light lol. Yeah nigga 195/65 felt like I was in the worlds strongest man comp carrying those around!

SofaKingTyte 09-08-2008 02:55 AM

Haha maximus!!! im down, but guns and alcohol is not a good combination lol. but f*ck it, live life on the edge

BBSick 09-08-2008 02:56 AM

Thug life!

Agent Smith 09-08-2008 08:07 AM

bring the 225/50's to the phx area & I'll take 'em ;)

widest tire you should run is a 205/45-50/15 on the gsr blades, azenis fit perfectly

AzSpeedStars 09-13-2008 07:26 PM

Probly not a very good idea, like some guys said stick with 205's as long there sticky u could probly get away with 195's unless your car is pretty quick

EPthree04 09-15-2008 10:35 AM

225s on blades isnt gonna be dangerous at all. it will be hard to clear the fenders with those tires but im sure with stock ride height there would be rubbing only on clock to clock turns

iNotion 09-15-2008 09:28 PM

well stock size is 195/55 15R i would go maybe with a 205 50 15R if its not that low

that one guy 09-15-2008 10:27 PM

i wouldn't want to go bigger than 205/50/15. for drag, wider/taller tires would be ok, but i wouldn't want to daily them

iNotion 09-15-2008 10:43 PM

yea thats acutally the perfect size if u ask me

CX-Vtec 09-17-2008 12:23 AM

i would go with 205's in my opinion, get some yokohamas :D

JonnyB 09-17-2008 02:53 PM

Mmm a good tire for that situation is a G-force sport tire by BFgoodrich. Im pretty sure its best to grab some new ones though. even with spares available the body would rub that size.

EJ1DUDE 09-24-2008 07:36 PM

205/rr but it rubs a little when u turn sharp

nuocmam 09-24-2008 07:43 PM

stock height?

Agent Smith 09-24-2008 08:46 PM

you will not rub with 205 series & stock suspension. I don't rub with 205's & I have about a finger & a half gap between tire & fender....

EPthree04 09-24-2008 10:42 PM

stock you should be fine with some 215 and 225s. maybe a little rubbing on clock to clock turns

Jim 09-25-2008 12:25 AM

i have have 205/50/15 on mine

BBSick 09-26-2008 01:20 AM

Thanks for all the input guys

bokamper17 09-26-2008 04:47 PM

try the 205/50r15 kumho, smooth ride

EPthree04 09-26-2008 06:49 PM

wow! that sums it up right here lol. since there is only 1 kumho tire in a 205 50 15

EJ1DUDE 09-26-2008 08:39 PM

sell the tires they wont fit

EPthree04 09-27-2008 11:23 AM
