"G Fab" fab thread
It's been a long road filled with cars, fabbing and welding. A quick introduction: My name is Aaron Garcia and I got my start welding in 99' at my high school. Then moved on to community college, only to finish a couple of semesters to start working at Max-Rev Motorsports. Later, regretfully, worked for Chassi Tech/Aim industries(enough about that). Picked up by Full-Race for a major portion of my career. And currently welding for AFI Turbo and a place we like to call Half-Race. Well, I'll keep this updated (weekly/bi-weekly) with ideas and cars I work on. So...criticize, compliment, question or just skim through. Either way, enjoy! Oh, thank Indub for the thread name.:)

Why does it seem that every fabricator in AZ used to work at Max-Rev. LOL !
I used to work for Curtis a long time ago too !! I remember visiting with him when you were still working. Iam not sure which Aaron you are but I just remember him having 2 Aarons working for him. Nice stuff BTW |
you do some nice work!
Thanks guys. I'll have more stuff soon. Oh and kerry, you know where to find me.;) As for you Drama Queen...aka: Andy V., I'll see you after lunch!

Hi Aaron!
lmfaaaoooo @ pussy sweeper.
Hi Scott. How's Tucson
is that a cardboard template i see in there?
That's funny, it does look like cardboard. That's the actual oem part that locks in place.
yea it really does. i just figured it was because that's what i used to use.
I'm not knocking the idea at all, but what is its purpose?
Only thing at least for now i can think of is does it make it harder to mess up while preloading? Pretty much takes the risk out of accidentally letting the button go on the way down? |
That's pretty spot on. I know it's not hard to race without this, but I figured the less you have to think about, maybe the better. I think some use a line lock and just push a button at the sight of green. I chose this because it was inexpensive, fun to figure out and hopefully when I get this on the track, it helps. Does it? I don't know yet.
Ha well i'm sure with the right marketing you could sell it to plenty of people.
Looks really good GFab!
Nah. That's too much work to market. I can barely get my friends to say "Ahh dude, make me one". I think the only other one is in Locash's drag car, and that one needs to be redone like this one. His was a prototype.
"Ahhh d00d make me one!" |
Nice work, I have some of those line fittings. Does that mean I'm cool?
LOL |
Sweet!!
Where you getting the -10 fittings on the catch can ? |
