Workout playlist
I know music is a big part of some people's workouts, and was wondering what's does everyone listen too.
What's getting u going and, and keeps u pumped throughout ur workout |
Five Finger, if my avatar didn't give it away lol. Atreyu follows in a close second
|
U have it all downloaded or do u stream pandora
|
Army of the pharaohs, Jedi mind tricks, big pun, dmx, jay-z , it'll vary but usually I'll zone out with aotp or dmx.
|
i change a lot. I mean I can go from RnB to Motorhead to ice cube to Rhianna lmfao to daft punk to Big L to 2pac and everything in between.
|
Nice, I've never been big into listening to music at the gym. But recently I wanna make it a habit. Too much bs in the background all the time, hard to keep focus
|
I kinda wish I never picked it up honestly. So those times I don't have headphones or something is missing to play my music its hard to get in the zone. Some times I workout with no music cause I like hearing my breathing, and TOTAL focus on the muscle im working etc.
For cardio FAWK THAT I need music! lol only way I can do cardio with no music is if I'm talking to someone next to me, but by then the girls usually get pissed off im messing up their flow lol. |
What I typically do is have 1-2 songs that = time to fuck shit up. They don't always have to be a "heavy" or "intense" song, but just the same song I use when it is time to really focus on the task at hand, and smash something. I ONLY use these songs for big lifts, and if one comes on when I am just lifting normally for reps I skip it.. It is like flipping a switch.
I have heard of people doing this with objects. Like putting a hat on, or whatever. Your body/mind learn this behavior and know it is time to roll. These songs can change from time to time. But right now this is the song I deadlift to. When this comes on, I know it is time to get serious, and focus on what I need to do. For regular lifting I am all over the place. Like BMXican it an really be anything. Nas, jadakiss/dblock, mobb deep, Jay z, old eminem, rage, sublime, etc, etc. |
i listen to alot of my old play list from high school lol that is when i hung out with metal bands
this is actually one of my favorite album ,a lot of memories .haha you can never go wrong with as blood runs black the alliance album . i play this when i am feeling like a major beast in the gym ,everything fades and i want to kill it but i listen to a lot ..a lot of trance . |
we all have those couple of songs. :party2: When I do my 20 rep squats man I need that song cause wholy molly! |
20 rep squats are no joke. I did those a few years back and my quads blew up. Ill see if i can find the pics tonight
|
This kid is pretty insane.
|
Like Stallone in Over the Top?
My playlist consists of Sarah McLachlan's 'Arms of an Angel' ... I think of all of those sad dying puppies and want to fuck shit up so hard |
Just like that.

That dude is absolutely insane
There was -4 months between the first and second pic. Legs 2x a week, 20 rep squats |
No big deal. Pre pump after leg pic
After pump and creatine In his system.. Rofl. I'm actually going to start a Dtp where it requires you to do an insane amount of reps to build mass. It's a little out side the box from traditional lifting but hey its worth a try. If it works it works. If it doesn't, well at least I'm still lifting haha Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 2 |
There is so much broscience out there it's ridiculous. I used to work out on an empty stomach every morning for 6 months straight, the biggest no no you could do, and my gains were still consistent. The simple fact you're changing your routine to shock your body is huge. "Anything above 12-15 reps becomes cardio" is the biggest line of shit ever.
BTW I know you were kidding, but I was taking absolutely nothing at that point aside from 600mg caffeine preworkout and I doubled my calorie intake |
Actually anything above 8 reps is cardio, but mostly if you're out of shape Lol
|
ive been on lots of volume the last 8 months. Best changes I have seen ever. I like the 15+ rep range.
plus i get to share neoprene weights with the girls! |
Keep in mind volume doesn't mean it has to be high reps.
I was doing crazy volume while doing John Meadows "creeping death " program but rarely went over 8 reps. I made some crazy gains as well. I find with higher volume you tend to look much fuller all the time as well. Do you notice that effect too? |
yes i do, and I feel like for once I can actually "sculpt" if that makes sense lol.
|
I thought the same thing so I'm trying to see what kind of gains I get out of this program. Today was tough my legs were literally dead after all the repetitive motion. Mostly fatigued. I will keep it up.
Haha yeah I was kidding, leads are filling in good man. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 2 |
I have all my music on soundcloud.
I listen to Diplo Secsay Rusko Calvin Harris Brillz Bingo Players |
I really need to revamp mine. I have 1 or 2 songs that REALLY get me going....but for the most part I'm bored as fuck of my current list.
|
All I listen to while "working" out is "Sledgehammer" by Peter Gabriel - on loop.
Then at work, I have "Shock the Monkey" on loop. And Fridays (Pay Day) - you guessed it - "Big Time." The world needs not music unless it is Peter Gabriel. |
I throw on my lamb of god Pandora station and go to work!
|
When I take too much pre-workout I listen to dub step and turn into a lifting machine
|
Wrecking ball= kill my 1.5hr workout in 10 minutes...
Jays on my feet knocks another two minutes off that Notsrs |
