Hey all,

As announced in the drivers meeting at the event on FIR Main, the original plan for our April event was a crossover event at Buttonwillow with the NASA So Cal region on April 6 & 7. That was later changed to be a local event at FIR West when the announcement came out that Bondurant was going to take over the West course. Unfortunately April 6 & 7 will need to be canceled due to a logistics nightmare since Firebird has ownership until April 6th @ 11:59PM and Bondurant isn't taking over until April 7th @ Midnight. Ugggggg.... However, the event has been rescheduled for the following weekend of April 13 & 14. As noted above, registration is open.

NOTE: There are no paddock/parking/guest/camping fees.

(Friday) PRE-Event and Paddock Setup
* Gates open @ 3PM
NOTE: We have instructed Bondurant to lock the gate until we have our waiver station setup @ 3PM so do not show up earlier unless you do not mind waiting outside the gate.

HPDE Tech Inspection
Please print and fill out a tech form prior to arriving to tech

Registration
• Registration will be located inside the enclosed trailer near track exit at the West end of the paddock (see attached map)
• HPDE1 will need to “check in” with registration. All other groups will receive their wristbands from their respective Group Leader directly after the Drivers Meeting
• Onsite registration available (w/late fee) for groups that are not already sold out

Transponder Rentals
• Need to be checked out at registration
• Need to be returned to registration within 30 mins of your final session to avoid a late fee
• Time Attack competitors: If you rented a transponder for your TA session, it is only available for your TA laps. If you need a transponder for TT or Race group you will be required to pay for a full weekend rental.

Drivers Meetings / Downloads
* The mandatory drivers meeting will be held near registration.
* NASA HPDE1 will be hosting the classroom portion at the Bondurant Main office in one of their classrooms. Students will be allowed to drive their cars back and forth to reduce walking time.
* All other group meetings and download locations will be announced by your respective Group Leader directly after the drivers meeting.

Timing and Scoring
* Results will be posted on our sign easels near the NASA AZ trailer. If errors are found, please bring this to the attention of the TT / Race Director immediately to get corrected.
* "Race Monitor" will also be enhanced this weekend. Previous functionality was intermitent at best and you could ONLY see results while cars were actually being timed on track or during a race (not post session/race). Going forward, you'll be able to see real time results as well as the archived times that everyone is used to seeing on traditional hardcopy from your smartphone or tablet. This functionality will supplement our current system (i.e. not replace).

Classing
• 2013 classing sheets (and dyno's - if applicable) must be turned into your respective Series Leader or registration if not already done, failure to have these on file could result in upclassing and/or DQ for the respective class.
NOTE: Over 23 new classing sheets were added here () and another 25 will be posted before the event this weekend! If you don't see your classing sheet online and/or didn't recently submit it, please do so ASAP!

Water
The club provides water as a courtesy to it's members. Water will be located near the NASA AZ trailer near the mobile registration/classroom.

Food Service
We will have our normal mobile food service (aka – “roach coach” FTW) onsite serving their normal goodness. They will show up a little before the drivers meeting and will stay as long as folks continue to buy stuff from them.

Photograph / Graphics
Tom from Twisted Priorities has confirmed that he will be onsite to provide his usual graphics services (photography only if requested). We will also have multiple photographers snapping photos all weekend. Their contact info will be located in registration.

Fuel
Chevron less than a mile away has all the regular pump grades. Loves gas station just on the other side of I-10 has all grades of fuel including 100 unleaded and 110 leaded race fuel.

Tire Service
NASA Arizona will be offering tire service out of the registration trailer all weekend long.

The red car which is a street/time attack/time trial car is the one that was K.I.A. at Main. :(

Don't get discouraged dude. It took Mervin and I about 6 races to get used to race group and develop the car. You'll be up in front in no time!

Different engine or same engine rebuilt?

Oh I am not at all discouraged. That is only my 3rd event ever in that car in recent years... It has alot of work to go before it will be competitive, but I had a ton of fun!

The old engine is spare parts now.

I have a new lower end that I am working on rebuilding...

im trying to budget after the trip.... if i cant get out there on track you can always use mine... :)


although i have to budget tires as well as I burnt up the NTO1's i got from Stephen at the last event... :(

Still seeing if i can make it too.... Trying really hard cause there is gonna be like a 5 month break soon. Gotta get as much track time in as possible.

Getting baselined at UMS on next Tuesday.
Dyno tune in 2 days with new engine from someone else (ums is full for a few weeks). Should see well over 200whp :)

Aarron Hair was my DE1 instructor last event.... great communication... i suggest him

I like aaron too, but he is like 7 feet tall, he won't fit well in the rsx lol
