Idle Issue

I have a 1990 Honda Civic Si Hatchback with a b16A Sir OBDO. PR3 ECU

OK so here is the issue:

My vehicle idles very high...

When i 1st got the car it idled fine(900 RPM).

Then it started this thing where it would idle high(2k RPM) when cold, then go down to normal idle(900 RPM) when it got warm.

Well now it is idling really high (3k RPM) when cold then drops down a little bit(2k RPM) when warm.

I have tried cleaning the Idle Air Control Valve.

Any Suggestions???

Thanks in advance.

Your Tps sensor could be bad.

Have you tried Playing around with the Idle adjust screw on the throttle body?

I have not touched the idle adjustment screw. It was idling fine so i know once whatever is wrong is fixed it should correct itself.

Is there any way i can test the TPS?

check your cold start valve, you have to remove the two 8mm bolts then get a flat head screw driver and turn it in(clock wise) try that after checking your throttle cable you should be able to grab and move it a little without the idle jumping.

use a volt meter and connect the positive lead tothe red/black wire and ground the other probe to a good ground.you may have to use a straight pin to probe the wire.the tps should red .05 when its closed and go up to 4.5 when open.do this with the car off ,key on.

bleed your coolant. apparently bubbles in your coolant can effect your idle.

Only if you have a fitv genius.

and Obd 0 b16 doesn't have one.
