Tick tick noise.. lifters?
 

Mechanic said my rocker arm was ticking, easy fix but does anybody wanna fill me in? lol

or maybe u need a valve adjust
but than again on a tercel i have it was tiking for awhile like a yr or so and than all of a sudden rod knock

yea probably i had that same problem in my teg and all of a sudden rod started knocking..

how much was it once the rod was knocking

either adjust your vavles and see if it stops, or get someone with a car stethoscope and have them listen to its heartbeat

sounds like valve lash.....

if a rod was knocking its got about a few weeks of life left before you hear it bang.....

in my experience, rod knocks dont last long before the motor stops.
