Offset and Rim Gurus...

I have a 47 offset on my rims for my car. I wanted to get some 25mm spacers to flush it out some.

I found a set I want here:

Problem is, there are no centercaps available for my line of wheels, so am I gonna have an ugly hole in the center of my wheel with the spacer installed?

Fix.it.again.Tony 06-14-2010 11:11 PM

Does anyone have a collection of centercaps or know of a shop that would be willing to help me?

Daddy_Digital 06-14-2010 11:15 PM

measure the diameter of the hole. there maybe a center that will fit. post what size it is and i could tell u what center cap will fit.

Fix.it.again.Tony 06-14-2010 11:16 PM

well the problem is the dustcap on my rear wheels protrudes some so a flat cap would not fit

What rims do you have?

can you post pics from like the side? if you put 25s in the rear you would need to stretch a lil or get moAr camber lol

EnjoiKOREA 06-14-2010 11:39 PM

I've always loved these rims, too bad they never made a center cap.

I wouldn't worry about a center cap, even If you put in a generic "honda" center cap in it, i think it would look ugly.
The rims look good without it.

As for a "big" hole in the center, it shouldn't look to bad.

I plan on rolling the fenders and raising my ride height

I just am looking for an example of how it would look with that extra inch

jakellama123 06-14-2010 11:49 PM

nooo you are supposed to go lower

HondaFreak 06-14-2010 11:54 PM

Yeah man, Keep it low.

I wouldn't worry about the "big hole."

Fix.it.again.Tony 06-14-2010 11:56 PM

I am getting kinda tired of bottoming out on speedbumps.

If I keep it lower I will have to have the front fenders rolled as well which means I have to tear out the black fenderwell lining and that is a little trashy in my opinion.

Tweeder 06-14-2010 11:58 PM

talk to Smoot. i know he did something different for the center caps on his Volks because they dont make caps for those wheels. i think he just found the approprient sized plug and had it paint-matched.... or idk, something like that

BDEG 06-15-2010 12:16 AM

So i ordered them, now I gotta get the damn fenders rolled lol

Smoot 06-16-2010 01:19 AM

No, I actually have Volk center caps. When ordering any kind of Rays wheels, you have to order them extra., and since I didnt, I had to wait a couple more months for them to get here.

The wheels don't come with center caps because of they are racing wheels and most/all tracks do not allow centercaps on wheels, due to the fact they can fly off and cause saftey issues on the track.

Now if you take them to a wheel place, they can possibly design/cnc a center cap for you. I know DVP GSR had them done for his Volks

you mind asking him for me?

Smoot 06-16-2010 01:22 AM

He had Nu Wheel do them.

Fix.it.again.Tony 06-16-2010 01:46 AM

ok well where are they located & stuff

HondaFreak 06-16-2010 01:54 AM

What are your plans with the fender rolling and what not?

Fix.it.again.Tony 06-16-2010 01:58 AM

Not sure
i know i need to roll my rears, prolly gonna have tri-tech do them

i may raise my ride height a bit too I don't wanna have to roll my front fenders if possible.

ricebowl 06-17-2010 05:53 PM

lmao... say good bye to ur wheel bearing soon lmao !!

Wagonmaster 06-18-2010 12:03 PM

Why would you even say that....especially since he's only flushing the wheels out. IMO, that's just an asshole comment.

MugenMachina 06-18-2010 12:52 PM

Are you going to get hubcentric rings for your spacers? You dont want the load to be on the studs. I see guys sport without them and do fine, but just thought I throw that out there for peace of mind to consider. It would also eliminate wheel vibration if any occurs after the install
