Need help picking fuel injector size!

So azht I need help choosing what size to run on my NA b20vtec

The build:
Skunk2 Pro 3s
Skunk2 springs and retainers
Edelbrock fuel rail
Edelbrock performer x
Skunk2 pro 68mm throttle body
Wisco 12.1:1 pistons
it will be tuned on Hondata s300

Will be making a build thread soon. So stay tuned.
*just gathering parts right now, please don't flame me. Its a dd and occasional drag car

C.R.A.Y. 01-09-2013 02:38 PM

310's with a walbro should suffice

TypeREgg 01-09-2013 04:26 PM

X2 on what crayon said

Syvi 01-10-2013 01:01 AM

Thank you. Any specific brand?

Syvi 01-10-2013 01:03 AM

As in brand injectors if that wasn't clear. I will be adding the walbro fuel pump to my list of parts to get

king06 01-12-2013 09:03 PM

I'm going to run Id750-1000 on mine, similar set up.

TypeREgg 01-13-2013 01:40 AM

Id injectors are good but 310 are good for your setup
Rc is good too

DB8GS-R 01-13-2013 09:12 AM

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but aren't the pro 3 cams going to be way to much for this build also making it unable to DD? There are many b20v builds just like this using skunk 2 tuner 2 or pro 1 which will still make decent power and leaving it streetable

Syvi 01-13-2013 11:21 AM

You are probably correct my friend, but i dont mind having a jacked up idle when im daily driving.the only other cam i would consider would be the pro2, the other 2 mentioned would not give me the power i want. and i chose the pro3 because it is some what similiar to the pro2 but with a larger vtec lobe. im just hoping that the skunk2 duel valve springs can handle the cams

TypeREgg 01-13-2013 09:32 PM

Valve train will handle it as long as its pro series. How much power u tryna make?

Syvi 01-13-2013 11:45 PM

I Would want to make as much power as I can but realistically 230 would nice. If I make more I'll he happy and hit the 12s in the 1/4 mile

gunsup0331 01-14-2013 12:12 AM

I would run 310s as a minimum
I ran prelude injectors on mine, 345cc iirc
Running a slightly bigger injector isn't gonna hurt you in the slightest

Syvi 01-14-2013 07:01 AM

What size do you suggest? 310 is ok but with a bigger injector there's room to grow?

gunsup0331 01-14-2013 10:46 AM

i actually have a set of used RC engineering 370cc which i bought for a b20v build nearly identical to yours. Ive since scrapped that project so they are for sale if you want em, $175 cash monies.

Lemme find a fuel injector calc real quick....

for 240 crank hp you are looking at 370 as a minimum requirement, and thats if you bump fuel pressure a bit

Syvi 01-14-2013 12:16 PM

If you have them in a few months I'll take them. Im in Virginia for training so when I get back and you still have them I'll pick them up. Would my build be able to hit 240?

C.R.A.Y. 01-14-2013 12:25 PM

according to that calculator 240's are too small for a factory itr....so i dont have much faith in it.

OP if you are wanting to spend 175 ball park for injectors you can get a set of rdx injectors with tophats for that much. For all motor set ups they offer a superior spray pattern over most injectors on the market, the best in that price range.

Syvi 01-14-2013 12:38 PM

Sorry lol I meant 240hp lol I'm just looking for a good injector to use. My price range is $175-250. What do you mean top hats?

C.R.A.Y. 01-14-2013 12:42 PM

the diameter of the rdx injectors are bigger than b series so you have to have an adapter.

my statement was towards the calculator he posted, according to it the injectors that come from the factor in an itr wouldnt support the power it makes

Syvi 01-14-2013 01:00 PM

Thanks for the clarifying. Now I see what you mean.

gunsup0331 01-14-2013 10:03 PM

From what i can guesticulate, that injector calculator is the same formula thats been used for years, and what i learnt in mekanik school lol. One must remember to change fuel pressure to reach a realistic max limit as well.

Also, an ITR and this build (theoretically), runs at a higher VE than the default on the chart. Furthermore, the calculator also does not account for anything beyond 80% duty cycle, which may limit some applications.

I like to use the chart to get in the ballpark, and since injectors do have an on/off switch, i always recommend bigger as better.

Either way, i totally forgot i had those injectors until after my first post in here lol

PS. Curiosity..., whats max stock fuel pressure? I know itll change with variables but anyone know? deadhead pressure? Isnt it around 60 for Tegs?

gunsup0331 01-14-2013 10:05 PM

I actually was gonna do the RDX injectors for my first b20v but stumbled across a cheaper alternative, they seem to be a great option from what i was reading, esp if you can get the hookup from honda

C.R.A.Y. 01-14-2013 11:09 PM

45psi, you can change the calculator on that site for 100% duty.

Guy who builds motors for honda's road racing team said he has picked up as much as 6 hp over id's. they atomize better

Syvi 01-15-2013 12:51 AM

So should I also pick up a fuel regulator and I know I'll have to pick up a walbro fuel pump as well. Where would I look for rdx injectors? Or should I buy them new from Acura?
