DE3 in the house!

thinking of moving to de3. My brother thinks I'm about ready, but I'm skeptical. I do like the idea of more open passing options, but I think I need t run a few more drills first?
What are your thoughts Joser, Sturla, Ward? Any opinions and help welcomed.

P.S. - I also want to personally thank everyone who helps run these events and allow us to have so much fun!

much faster drivers IMHO. You learn more about your surroundings,and getting more out of your car by honing your skills even further.Brett,who ran 3 for 4+ years,just to drop back into 2 to get the feel of things again

yeah there does appear to be faster drivers. Something I've learned from racing motocross for so many years is that you don't get much faster by racing/riding/driving with slower people. I am definitely wanting to hone my skills and improve. I think I would benefit a lot from following some faster drivers for a while and DE2 is fun for sure, but I don't feel challenged enough.

well i might have to loosen it up so i can shift faster than you. right now its at training wheight so that once i loosen up ill be crazy fast. like baseball batters add weights to their bats lol.
although i still have to slow down my 2-3 shift so that i dont grind :( i want to rebuild my tranny

you aren't drag racing bro.....shift smoooth....in good time you'll heel toe and shift into corners (up or down) and brake at the same time...no time/speed lost.....

No way, lies. I have basically a 98-spec ITR trans (B16 1-2-3, GSR 4th, cable LS 5th: 3.23/2.105/1.458/1.034/.742/4.785 FD) with my LS. It is FAR shorter than your GSR trans and it feels perfect to me IMO...maybe a slightly closer 5th than the one I put in it would be nice but then my cruising RPM's would be insane.

yup i reminded my self of that after the first session. Its another one of the things that i have to stop myself from doing because its not worth the damage to my car. :)

well the only thing is that if i had more rpms i wouldnt mind. and if i made any power up there. As my exit speeds get higher on Nascar 4 then i will have to shift into 5th, which take a long time lol.

I was shifting into 5th well before Start/Finish. My 4th gear ends at about 98mph at 7000RPM's.

I my 4th ends right at 160km/h(100mph @ 6500rpms) which i get to right before start/finish.
..Damn i think i have a lot of speed available that im not tapping into in nascar 3/4

Won't be their either. I'll be attending a Wedding as well, a different wedding than Scott is attending. What's up with all these sucka's getting married on a race weekend... They should have checked my schedule FIRST before planning the wedding date!
