Not home audio...but home video question?
 

I have a faily big computor monitor...just as big as my tv. I want know how or if its possible to watch tv on my monitor? I have an hdmi and a standerd vga imput.

You need to Purchase a special cord.
It's called a DVI cord.

You have to make sure your has the Plug in though.

why does he need that? he said he has HDMI and VGA inputs
you can hook up a PS3 or XBOX 360 (that has HDMI) to it directly
or if you want HD TV channels you would need to get an HD Tv tuner

im using a dvi cable for my monitor now.

i do not have a cable box or this would be easy.

i did look around at best buy today and they had what i was looking for. it was a small usb tv tuner that looked like a mem stick. it had a converter to plug a coaxle cord into and also had a remote...only down fall was that its 120 dollars. ima ssearch for it cheaper.

i tired searchin online for it...couldnt find it.

but this is what im thinking should work.

but that card would work also, just remember to make sure whatever you buy for a tuner it's HD

your only option would be to get the hd tuner box with hdmi output or to get dish network or direct tv


etheir or u still need to spend money cancel your cable company and get dish you can get the top 100 with hd and locals for 34.99 a month and u get a hd dvr box

yes you can i think even tv conveter boxes have hdmi out so that would be all you need
