An introduction to my 10 second H2B Civic

Here are a couple videos... first a walk around the car then an idling shot. I will be adding to this thread as more gets done, but for now enjoy.

Click on the pics.

just a little something you "slapped" together lol

C.R.A.Y. 10-15-2012 11:01 AM

Best time to date?

2point6 10-15-2012 11:22 AM

Your time to beat is 10.90 @ 122.31 ;) (here in Tucson)

Here is proof.

2point6 10-15-2012 11:51 AM

Last year's IFO, this was just "slapped together".

The block had been built and dynoed with a different head, fuel injectors and a "standard" H22 transmission, way early in 2011. We drove the car once and managed a 11.03 @ 128.1, but the car was shortly torn apart for changes... things then took forever. I was waiting for a new head to show up and it finally made it at the last minute for IFO 2012. During that time we converted the car to H2B and also discovered the incompatability of Q16 and ID2000cc injectors, so we traded them out for ID1000s and put the new head on. Joe was booked for the dyno leading into the Feb 2012 IFO event, so we had him send his "best guess" on a ecu map, so we could at least make it down the track.

Lot's of changes... no tuning and we still managed my personal best time! Hopefully this year we will improve. The cams have been replaced, we did coil on plug, and built a functional airbox. We will see what happens!

crxhfb16 10-15-2012 12:47 PM

good stuff man, i cant wait to see it run again. my car is still in limbo but i will be there to support the local shops. Will anyone be racing the single cam F series?

juan3023 10-15-2012 12:54 PM

:thumbup:Great work Scott for all motor 10 sec

2point6 10-15-2012 02:47 PM

My ex may make an appearance behind the wheel... I am undecided. I am trying to be cool with her, but it would be cool to see it against some of the K series cars coming down from Phoenix. She is the best person to drive it.

crxhfb16 10-15-2012 02:49 PM

agreed k series guys getting beat by a girl driving an N/A single cam would be great.

bseries1320 10-15-2012 04:04 PM

that would be epic

C.R.A.Y. 10-15-2012 04:35 PM

We are competing in street class. And if the car does what it should there will only be one all out pass due to no cage.

2point6 10-15-2012 04:42 PM

She would be in the same class. I don't have a class, but you should be running comparable times to my car. She had to let off last year so she didn't get kicked of either... ran 11.6 earlier this year, but has gone 11.5 @ 119... not quite enough to have a roll bar or cage, but I suspect that this IFO, she may be faster and will be in the same boat as you!

It should be some good All Motor competition this time! Just wish I could be included... You and I will have to compare slips over a beer afterwards. cool?

C.R.A.Y. 10-15-2012 04:54 PM

I don't drink lol

2point6 10-15-2012 04:58 PM

Pepsi? HAHA!

mr.DUNK 10-15-2012 05:07 PM

It will be our first weekend out with the car so will see how it does...

I just want to get it dial in with what we have
After this ifo a few changes will be made I want a solid 10.50 car

The Evo will be at the next ifo and that will be the one we go fast in.

2point6 10-15-2012 05:35 PM

I think you guys will do great. There will always be changes that will have to be done. 10.50s in Phoenix is damn fast! I hope to be there myself, sometime. For me, hitting a 10 here in Tucson was a huge goal, because the elevation is a lot higher than Phoenix and the baro always hovers around 4000 ft. I ran my fist 10 over 4 years ago at speedworld and have always tried to back it up with one here. Took forever, but it sure felt good! I hope you guys come out HARD and things go well enough so you can get that 10 here... it will make running at Phoenix's lower elevation that much easier to dial in the car.

The Tin Bucket is finally back.

Thought you get rid of this or something. Glad to see her making a comeback.

Are you still at or around 300?

2point6 10-15-2012 10:29 PM

Nope... never got rid of it, just been distracted with other areas of my life. I have a few plans for it down the road, but racing it as often, has fallen second to making money.

I am still hovering right around 275-290 whp.

2point6 10-16-2012 09:30 PM

Pushed back a day for the dyno appt... I am waiting, just chomping at the bit.

2point6 10-18-2012 05:04 PM

So yeah... who needs dyno numbers anyway... interesting day here at Locash racing.

C.R.A.Y. 10-18-2012 05:05 PM

mr.DUNK 10-18-2012 05:06 PM

2point6 10-18-2012 05:08 PM

2point6 10-18-2012 06:25 PM

2point6 10-18-2012 06:28 PM
