Brake light issues
Evening all,
Recently got my hands on a 92 Civic CX Hatch. Bone stock. Great little daily for sure. Have a few electrical gremlins that I'm trying to track down. The main one at the moment is my brake lights. My left one works. The high center probably has a bad bulb, but I can't get it out to replace it. Whatever. The passenger side bulb does not light for the brakes. Parking lights work all around. I was thinking a ground issue at first, but given I get the parking light, I doubt that's the issue. My guess is power isn't getting to the brake light. I need to get a test light and see if I'm getting power. Now, the shift light comes on when I press the brake pedal. This only happens so long as ignition is set to on. Not sure if someone hacked the harness or if it's just a ground / wiring issue elsewhere. I do need to give the battery posts a good cleaning. Any thoughts or ideas? |
Never mind. I found the culprit. Missing a contact in the light socket. That might cause a problem. ;)
