1/4mile crx

im new to the site and figured i could gain post by discussing my 1/4 mile predictions
i have a gutted crx si and by gutted i men barely a dash with nothing underneath it
and 1 seat. no other interior and no Ps or Ac in engine bay. i have a traction bar and full ksport susp. the engine made 193whp/146.
i dont have any seat time in the car so im looking for some 1/4mile predictions by some people with similar builds or some goals i can go for on street tires.

Dead Bird 05-24-2011 12:54 PM

14's cuz we all know Ryan can drive better than you.

But I thought you couldn't remember the tq #'s?
The 146 looks nice :)

Dead Bird 05-24-2011 12:58 PM

(Actual response: We should get you weighed before we go, make a proper estimate based on your actual weight and other factors, then see if we can get you to achieve those numbers!)

I'm gonna guess it weighs between 2000-2100 with you in it.
I feel like that's about a 3-400lb weight drop from your previous, and if you can get down the track without breaking another dif, 12.8@106

Dead Bird 05-24-2011 01:04 PM

According to this site:

2100lbs= 12.9
2000lbs= 12.69

This one says the same:

Dead Bird 05-24-2011 01:20 PM

According to them though, My integra that was only missing its spare tire/tools, and AC compressor and lines only weighs 2450 with me in it...

don't see that being accurate....

ILIKETODRIVE 05-24-2011 02:06 PM

I plugged in the low weight/high whp numbers for my old DC4 (2350lbs with me with less than 1 gallon of gas; 139whp on UMS Dynapack) and it said I would do roughly a 14.9 @ 91.

I actually ran it around 2400lbs and it made 137whp on 2 different Dynojets and on locash Dynapack. I did a 14.59 @ 94. This was in the summer heat as well.

I also plugged in my old ED6 numbers; guess was 15.6 @ 87, I did a 15.01 @ 89.

Eh...they're kinda close.

Dead Bird 05-24-2011 03:33 PM

My 1997 Integra LS was Dyno Tuned/Tested at IPH with their dyno.
It made 170whp @ 7,000rpm/130wtq @ idk
USDM 2000 Si Transmission.
It's full interior Minus spare tire and jack/tools, and the AC compressor, bracket, lines and condensor were missing. I ran a 14.23@ 96.9 at speedworld in late May i think.
2.16 60ft on 205-50-15 45$each street tires on blades...

2poor2tune 05-24-2011 03:43 PM

my guess is 12.5 to 13.0 depending on the driver skill. A friend of mine had a 88 si that was gutted just like you mentioned but it only made 187hp at its prime. a few years later it ran a 12.9 while spitting oil because the rings were almost done

cbaracing 05-24-2011 04:00 PM

dude those k-sports get you like 20hp

and holy multiple answer yourself own posts dead bird :thewave:

Dead Bird 05-24-2011 04:44 PM

haha i do what i want

chicken bandit 05-24-2011 07:56 PM

holy 2.1 60ft
my fastest on street tires was a 2.2- 2.3

chicken bandit 05-24-2011 07:57 PM

i thought they gave u 40whp

Bill Cosby 05-24-2011 09:17 PM

We are talking on slicks or street tires?

chicken bandit 05-25-2011 01:07 AM

umm lets say both......???

PhoenixB16 05-25-2011 07:27 AM

Since you mentioned you have no wheeltime high 13s at 106+.Street tires suck when drag racing Hondas. As far as slicks, hell, I would expect the car to run in the neighborhood of12.70's after you are used to launching on slicks.
My EM1 was like 2500ish and made 202/146 and threw down some 104ish traps at Speedworld.

chicken bandit 05-25-2011 11:27 AM

well ive use slicks many many times
actually more than street tires at the track
its just that this is a new car and havnt raced it at all
high 13s sounds about right to me too.
how much more power do u think ill make when i replace my stock-intake manifold, stock cam gears for my pro2 cams and stock thottle body and port match

Bill Cosby 05-25-2011 01:36 PM

I'd love to guess if you'd give us some engine details

Dead Bird 05-26-2011 02:16 AM

20+ whp, depending on what of each you get

chicken bandit 05-26-2011 10:23 AM

chicken bandit 05-26-2011 12:27 PM

y....my header is real....

chicken bandit 05-28-2011 10:41 PM

Hmmm ill take that as a hell no

Bill Cosby 05-28-2011 10:48 PM

Ya that's a no

chicken bandit 05-29-2011 04:53 AM

Bill Cosby 05-29-2011 08:29 AM

Colten79 05-31-2011 04:59 PM

you would have been better of as the KooladeMaster...

chicken bandit?
:superghey:

Colten79 05-31-2011 05:02 PM

Just a heads up... Those sites and tests don't take gear ratios into account.. Thats why I don't think their accurate.. And Deadbird, you should know how big of a difference gears make lol..

HAHAHAHHAahah
