Teen Safety driving school!

I am posting this for a friend.

Nachooooosupreme 01-29-2011 09:32 AM

great idea for beginner drivers!

Honda4Life. 01-29-2011 09:58 AM

Before teens learn "defensive driving" here in AZ, they should be required to take regular drivers training. I have found out AZ drivers aren't required to take any such training and it really shows much of the time.

civic nerd 01-29-2011 02:13 PM

Az divers suck, plain and simple! If you dont keep a constant eye out then you're doomed! Almost every day I have to avoid an accident. Its ridiculous. Too may idiots on their cell phones too! But hey, what can you do?

Honda4Life. 01-29-2011 02:24 PM

Learn what a yellow light actually stands for/means.

civic nerd 01-29-2011 02:43 PM

Yeah I got rear ended when I was slowing down at a yellow light. So you're damned if you do, damned if you dont! hahah

Pima sheriffs have a great defensive driving course. 18 and under. They teach some very good skills.

You need this. I have them on both my honda's and know of a few others down here do as well as I sold them and installed the units. People back up quick and it's fun on the highway. This is one I installed on a firends 07 Civic back some years ago now. You have to have an LED 3rd brake lamp though.

From research I have read, people respond to a flashing light .4-.8 seconds quicker than they do just a light coming on or getting brighter.

If you think about it, .5 seconds can save your ass quite literally.

civic nerd 01-29-2011 03:10 PM

Thats exactly what I need. Most of the time when Im paranoid I just tap the brake just enough to engage the brake light but not the brake so they get off my ass. But your idea seems much more practical. Will it work for the 3rd brake light thats in the rear window of the ek's?

Honda4Life. 01-29-2011 03:24 PM

If your car has what's highlighted in red then yes. It will work on cars that don't if the bulb is converted to an LED bulb. We had to do that to a friends Accord Wagon and his wife's Focus.

Yep i have it in my wagon works like a champ since my tails are so low since i am rolling on the ground and 3rd brake light is nice and high it helps alot.

^^^^^^^^^ Speak of the devil. lol

1 of my customers I was referring to.

NERD, I will be in PHX on Monday for a job interview or next weekend as well for the Super Bowl.

The units I have are a 2nd generation one and I only have 1. They retail for 29.95 plus shipping from the site I get them from. Shipping is 7.95. Total of $37.90 from them.

I'll sell it and install it for $35.00.

If people are interested in them maybe I would do a group buy again as I have in the past which will get the cost down a bit more. I would need a confirmed list of atleast 5-8 people with half the money down before ordering though as I'm not gonna float $150-200 of my own money for just a bunch of flakers.

PM me if interested.

civic nerd 01-29-2011 04:23 PM

I'll pm you asap.

89pman 01-29-2011 05:51 PM

I love my flasher. It works like a charm

Honda4Life. 01-29-2011 06:00 PM

And another satisfied customer. Don't forget to remove it before you sell the car.

BTW, you still own me a trader rating for it. lol

89pman 01-29-2011 07:53 PM

Ya. I almost forgot about it. Now I wont forget to take it out
