dies when backing up
I have a 96 accord automatic with a h22 swap.
Mods; skunk manifold, ebay headers aem fuel rail aem adjustable cam gears Only happens if reverse. If i put in reverse and let it idle, it stays running but as soon as i apply the throttle, bam, it dies. was told the problem is commonly caused by a dirty automatic idle speed control valve and throttle valve. any ideas? |
its called stalling brah , it might be a killswitch though

could be but for reverse?

I believe there's a switch for this problem. It might be behind the pedal im not sure if im right but hey who knows :)

wtf. really? I'll check it out.

Check Your Flux Capacitor Lol!
|
really? where can i find the flux capacitor on a 96 accord? Will it be in the same place as in a civic, right between to the exhaust bearings and intake manifold belt?

is the timing the same on a h than on bs'?
I only ask becuase when the piston #1 is at tdc, the cam arrows are pointing down. is this correct? I know the ecu adjust the timing back to factory spec on obd2 but i thing the base timing on the accord is off. |
found out the car has fucked up wiring.
The motor has a p13 obII ecu wired into the harness aswell as P0J ecu wired into the same harness for the transmission. Since the car is obdII, would it be the whole engine harness from the ecu to the drive side like the 96-00 civics? if so, would I be able to use a 96-97 accord ex v-tec wiring with a sohc v-tec ecu? I honestly don't care if I lose power on the H, as long as it runs good. Its for the wifey. Is there a way to convert the p13 to automatic? Sorry i'm a newb to accords. 1st accord and 2nd obdII out of 20+ hondas. |
