NASA Arizona to host a "Hyperdrive" event @ PIR

"Hyperdrive" is a special event that allows enthusiasts the ability to drive their own car on a real race track at an extremely affordable price. NASA membership is not required and you don't have to sit through hours of classroom education just to get a quick taste of what it's like to some performance driving on a closed course.

For only $40, you'll get a crash (no pun intended) course for ontrack protocol and then you'll be paired up with a certified NASA Instructor to drive your own car on the 1.5 mile PIR road course for 15 minutes!

The event will take place on Saturday Nov 28th at PIR. The on-track session is scheduled to take place at 12:45PM. You'll want to arrive a minimum of 1 hour prior to allow time to find a place to park, get your car tech'd and show up for the drivers meeting in the registration room prior to going on track.

To register for the event, go to and create a login/profile (if you haven't done so previously). Creating a login is free and membership is not required (if you only plan on driving in the Hyperdrive).

I'm not following this comment or question.

Anyone can become a NASA member. There's a few other benefits that come with membership but primarily, people become members because it is *required* to run at a NASA event. The exceptions are NASA-X, Hyperdrive and select drift events.

I'm pretty sure it's just a spammer :P
