and What he said

Trick 11-16-2009 02:08 AM

and exactly what they said...

bumpstick 11-16-2009 02:47 AM

I don't want to be the sole naysayer, but I bet the cost/level of difficulty of this swap will keep you from ever starting/finishing it. In for pics and time slips though...

RicerAccord 11-16-2009 03:33 AM

^^^ I agree. I have seen the tri tech V6 swapped civic and it is a tight squeeze.

bumpstick 11-16-2009 04:00 AM

And that is an EG lol

king06 11-16-2009 10:45 AM

ChrisIsYoung 11-16-2009 10:52 AM

^^^holly fuck!!

F YouR K 11-16-2009 11:23 AM

Just amazing __I bet that thing MOVES

2ndGenInteg 11-16-2009 11:35 AM

I bet it does lol. Can't wait to see ttm's

philycheese666 11-16-2009 11:56 AM

so just talk to the guy at tri tech? cuz uh yeah, i want my crappy little ef to have that big ass engine. And now i know for sure it can be done so now i just need a loan or something to get it all started :)

2.0eg-si 11-16-2009 02:12 PM

oh my fucking titays that thing is badass!!!!! this turbo v6 has also been done in a eg hatch on youtube sounds sick! i wanna see vids of this ef so bad!

2.0eg-si 11-16-2009 02:12 PM

i think its the same shop cus the eg is 2 toned also red and black hmm

FranktheTank 11-16-2009 03:50 PM

You shouldnt take a out a loan to modify a car.
Its gonna be basically impossible to get a loan for this purpose anyways:crazy:

bumpstick 11-16-2009 04:04 PM

lol
philycheese666: "Yo Chase Bank, I need about 10 g's for a turbo V6 motor swap."
Chase Bank: "Um, do you have any collateral?"
philycheese666: "Does my Honda count?"
Chase Bank:

die in a dick fire noob 11-16-2009 05:02 PM

considering chase bank doesn't do personal loans, nor would they give you a loan on anything older than 3 years... this is the same for most institutions in arizona.

what you need is a fucking job...

and how is that not a tight squeeze? i'd like to see the clearance for the bell housing and crank side. case in point, the turbo is sitting NEXT TO THE INTERCOOLER... seems like he had a ton of space right?

hush22@cox.net 11-16-2009 06:17 PM

I'm down to do it! We now have most of all the fabrication equipment to do such a swap.

holla@me 11-16-2009 06:33 PM

that red EF posted up there is cool...
BUT this thread is pointless.
it's just talk.

OP will never have a Jseries, much less swap one into an EF.

lets be realistic, folks.

:lmao:

Trick 11-17-2009 12:20 AM

its pretty tight thought...

g2integy 11-18-2009 11:20 AM

God damn I will hate myself for selling the hatch now!

Nachooooosupreme 11-18-2009 11:32 AM

dropping the j32 into the hatch is the same as vw's r32...it can be done

bumpstick 11-18-2009 06:37 PM

Clearly, since there is a picture of it a few posts up.

Pendulum 11-18-2009 06:59 PM

Am I the onlt one that understands torque steer? I'd rather have a CR-VTEC than the J swap.

Still ill, though.

Brian Earl Spilner 11-18-2009 07:40 PM

id love to see some more of these swaps for a change

philycheese666 11-20-2009 01:23 AM

dude i want to do this swap to shut up the naysayers and make my pos hatch fuckin fly! i think i'll stop by collective 2mrw to see whats up for pricing. i have a job and as of now i don't really have anything to spend my money on besides gas and insurance. i'm 19 and don't pay rent so i'm pretty much g2g for this project.

bumpstick 11-20-2009 04:46 AM

In for pics...

lowNslow 11-21-2009 09:31 AM

The swap is nowhere near 10g's. I just bought some parts off this guy who was doing it in his ek. He said he paid 500 for the long block, 400 for the tranny and maybe around 2-3g's for everything else
