artes wowwww we dont need a wannabe amare on our team plus the dude is a an idiot

apSquidFace 12-18-2007 08:52 AM

a wannabe amare????????? dude we need toughness to beat the sterns had parker played last night we would of been shut down. Artest is exactly what the doctor is ordering for the Suns!

but a wannabe amare? i really dont see how that comparison even exists....seriously wtf?

and yes hes an idiot. but at this point i could care less! If they keep playing the way they are the team is going to implode and any hopes of a title are going to fade away, if it hasnt already.

luigi2017 12-18-2007 09:11 AM

had parker played last night we would of lost i agree but had the suns played better they would of won by a good margin

ok i get ur point but come on artest for diaw and barbosa ummmmmm i dont think so barbosa is a young player and soon to be an allstar he still learning

apSquidFace 12-18-2007 09:57 AM

an allstar in who's book? dude is really really hurting us as of late with the junk he is throwing up, i dont care who is telling him to shoot he isnt helping his team when he is throwing up brick after brick in the final minutes of play.

turbotious kid 12-18-2007 01:12 PM

down go the spurs!
thats all that matters, hill seems to be the new x factor in the suns-spurs series.
but anyway next up is dallas,

apSquidFace 12-18-2007 01:16 PM

honeslty i know a win is a win, but what is everyone so excited about...parker wasnt playing hes a 20+ point threat against the suns. we dont have an x factor until we play them at full force and win.

UNDER PRESSURE 12-18-2007 01:31 PM

Everybody shouldn't even be excited... Basketball starts in the playoffs!

bmxican 12-18-2007 02:07 PM

yup.

I do agree with apsquidface in trying to lure Artest in, because guess what guy loves playing defense and owning foo's down low! I wouldnt want to get rid of Barbosa, and diaw, well he's not much of a trade value due to his contract. Maybe we can give the Queens, a player and our 1st round pick? possibly' the hawks first round pick?

Evil Empire 12-18-2007 02:12 PM

The only thing that's horrible about Diaw is the inconsistency. He has the potential (and realized it 3 years ago) of being the team's 2nd best playmaker after Nash because he has great playmaking, passing, and scoring skills. It's the inconsistency that kills him. Barbosa is a great player, he just seems inconsistent with his scoring.

apSquidFace 12-18-2007 03:16 PM

which is bad seeing as how we only win games because of our offense.

Evil Empire 12-18-2007 03:36 PM

True. But hell, different players step up at different times. We don't only win games when all 5 starters score 30+ points. There's usually a couple of solid performances boosted by one standout performance. As far as Leandro goes, I wouldn't worry about it. He's scoring 17 PPG this year, a record high for him and he scored 39 against Orlando in November. I think he's just goin' through a rough patch as far as shooting goes, which isn't TOO bad considering he's shooting at 47%. The only thing I would like to see him work on a bit more is just sinking those wide open lay-ups he misses because of the crazy speed he's running at...which is the reason he gets open in the first place.

apSquidFace 12-18-2007 06:30 PM

i dont mind the wide open layups its the layup attempts when shot blockers are standing right in front of him of when he is double teamed and he throws up a three instead of passing to the open man. honestly i think if this continues he will be the death of our trophy hopes. its nice to root for him because he (was) the underdog and he is on our team and all but cripes almighty im scared when he has the ball now......really scared. guess we will see how this dallas game goes. nash hasnt been shooting very well either and def. wasnt playing smart at the end of the game yesterday.

bmxican 12-18-2007 08:59 PM

Evil Empire 12-19-2007 01:53 AM

Yeah, but I think to an extent, most of the Suns' smaller players tend to do that. They've done it the last few seasons, too...when they have a nice little lead and they want to extend it and they throw up a three to keep up the momentum, Bell & Nash especially other than Barbosa.

The Dallas game should be fun...I won't be able to watch it though. Sucks.

luigi2017 12-19-2007 10:58 AM

WITHOUT BARBOSA NASH WILL NEED TO BE IN THERE BASICALLY THE 48 MINUTES

I THINK IF ANYTHING BARBOSA NEEDS TO STAY WITH THE SUNS FOPR QUITE A WHILE

luigi2017 12-19-2007 11:00 AM

X2 I TOTALLY AGREE WITH U BRO

turbotious kid 12-19-2007 11:03 AM

i think grant hill is the x factor with or withought parker.
Parker wasnt gonna guard hill??
nobody on that spurs team can? Maybe dirty bowen but then whos gonna guard steve?

apSquidFace 12-19-2007 11:14 AM

how is grant an x factor if we won by 5 without parker in? i mean grant can score 20 points all he wants that isnt going to stop parker from getting his 20 as well.

if we cant beat them with grant there is no X factor. Until both teams play at full health you cant say that, it makes no sense.

apSquidFace 12-19-2007 11:16 AM

sigh*

jägermeister 12-19-2007 12:38 PM

now granted Parker can score his points, but in his abscence usually the rest of the team works around it and makes up the point differential, imo. Had Parker played then Duncan might not have had the 36 and other players may not have had as many points as they did. so I still see it as a decent win. I do wish they would have all been healthy to get a better measure of how the team plays against them.

But you do have to admit that in came down to the Suns defense in the last few minutes. The Spurs were unable to get their good, high % shots in that last minute.

turbotious kid 12-19-2007 12:49 PM

Well then, i think that grant hill is gonna be the x factor then when they do play eachother at full strength

turbotious kid 12-19-2007 12:51 PM

Yeah parker being in the game really changes the way the spurs play.
but i still think it was a good win for the suns.

Evil Empire 12-19-2007 12:58 PM

Definitely. I was 99% sure that three by Bowen in the corner with like 8 seconds left or whatever it was was going in but he missed thankfully. Especially after seeing what they've done to us in the last couple of seasons and how Ginobili and Finley sunk those late threes in the game the other night, I was expecting it to go in.

JustinD 12-19-2007 03:28 PM
