vtec is 4500 and iab is 5750. because the iab switch makes more "noise" than vtec", most think it's vtec. but vtec at WOT is 4500 and then the short runners of the stock intake manifold at 5750. this is also why tuning with a vafc really sucks with a stock gsr mani. honda got it right the first time. it's also fubar to keep vtec that low even after you replace the stock manifold with a skunk2 or soemthing else. i know from experience that the stock manifold is good until 200whp. after that, yes, replace it.
