head work question
 

i'm taking the head off my b20 to change the gasket and i'm taking it to get resurfaced first. what i wanted to know is, are there any seals, o-rings, or anything else besides the headgasket that i'll need (or may need)? i've already decided to get new head bolts.

and i have searched a lot but as you can imagine the results are all mostly people just asking how to change a headgasket or the cost.

Have the machine shop put new valve seals ,guides, adjust valves. Also if you are doing a head gasket job I also recommend changing water pump and belt , front seal on the oil pump, timing belt tensioner. You can buy and head gasket set wich will include head gasket, valve cover gasket, intake mani gasket, exhaust gasket. Even though this will cost you more now it will save time and money in the future.

Didn't know they adjusted the valves with the head off the block. Wowzers
