axle is short?
 

So i just pick up a 91 dx hatch but the previous owner hit the curves on the driver side and when he tried to drive off in it the axle pop out. When u push the axle back in to the tranny its short like 1/4 of inch to the wheel hub. Nothing looks bent or weird. Ill post pics as soon as i get home.

You mean the previous owner hit a curb?

jack it up, take both front wheels off and look at both sides to see what is different...

Are you sure youre putting in the right axle? Maybe you trying to put a passenger axle(shorter) on the drivers side.

passenger axle on right, i read on honda-tech that theres some axle that r shorter then other ones. Some guy on there had the same problem and went back to autozone and got one that was a little bit longer. Thats wat im going to but at o'reillys thats were the previous owner got the axles.

You didn't mention if you had changed the axle out with a new one once it popped out.

If it's the same one from hitting the curb, something is obviously broken regardless of what it looks like.

If you bought a new one, then it's obviously the wrong one, or your shit is bent to hell.
