Suddenly Rich
What would cause an engine to suddenly go rich?? MAP and TPS are fine. IAT is fine. No sensors show spikes or drops. Injector pulse changes and engine timing correlates with the change. Something is telling my engine to go drastically rich. Seems random but is more apparent during warmer temps.

02 sensor, computer i would test your o2s before anything and are you checking your MAP & TPS manually or through a scanner? I would try forcing it lean by creating a vacuum leak and see what the scanner says then i would compare it by manually reading 02 sensor voltage at the sensor it self.

Busted fuel pressure regulator.

For a second when i first read the name of your post I thought you hit the powerball or something lol but turns out you were talking about your car.

Cant be an O2 since I'm in open loop at all times. And could be the fpr but that wouldn't make sense that the ignition follows and the pulse on the injectors changes.

New info. I was able to better catalog the issue and it may be the map sensor afterall.

Ok so here is what is happening at idle
ignition timing is at 19° injector pulse is 3.33ms injector duty is at 1% TPS is at 0% RPM is at 653 (low due to issue) and the MAP reads a value of anywhere from -13.4 down to -9.2 All remain constant but the map, the rpm goes +/-25 Is it possible I have a leak somewhere or just a screwy map sensor? |
Issue was a bad map sensor, typically my car runs at -20"vac at idle, the map was getting stuck sometimes and causing the ecu to use the wrong load cell, thus making shit too rich and also causing heating issues. Thanks guys.
