aluminum welding

I need someone that can help me weld aluminum I have a cracked rim I need repaired. But all I need is it welded. I can clean it up and finish it myself.

I myself don't but I one of my neighbors welds. I went to him for help first he said "his welder had the plug? Or port" for an aluminum welding gun? So im not sure it its a tig
