help! good price for a tranny job?

i got a new transmission for my lude for a killer price ($175) and have no time or enough experience to do the old switcheroo myself. my friend recomended a guy he knows and he said he would do it for $500. is this a good deal?

I don't think so either.

I got screwed when I got my tranny put it my 92 Prelude SI. I ended up paying like $1200 for everything. Good luck finding a good mechanic.

I charge 250 to pull out the trans and replace. I also do any mechanic work at a fair price. I am not certified but I am reputable and gurantee my work.

not good at all, r toyz does it for 250 and i got a good ass trany for a bill but that was a hook up:)

skabone 02-19-2008 10:07 PM

where is r toys located? I'm starting to have some grinds in 2nd and 4th and might need new tranny or some new syncros in the near future. I'm assuming I wouldn't be able to get the same hookup though?
