Need a bodywork specialist and painter for a couple projects

Hi everyone,

I have a few shells that will need to be painted here shortly. Both will need to be block sanded, some high and low spots.

No seals, one has no glass, nothing to be covered, both need interiors painted as well. All sanded and ready to go on one.

I sent Finish Line a PM. I am looking for someone who can do decent quality work with a decent turn around time. I will be needing cars painted regularly, about every 2 months.

PM me if you are a shop. I don't want any people offering me garage paint jobs, etc, if I wanted that I would just do that myself.

Thanks,
-Daniel

If you have had your car painted in the Phoenix area, could you please post up pics of the finished product, list the stages of paint work and list the cost.

I have decided I am going do some research in the area and see what I come up with. Its tough because I've painted before and am sort of a perfectionist when it comes to personal projects... and I haven't seen much of the local work out here in AZ since I just moved here. If I had a place and tools to do my own paint work again, I would.

Seems tough to get a quote, I'm not so much price shopping, just trying to find a quote that fits the work... if that makes sense. The issue is that I need to trailer my 2 cars to whichever paint shop I end up choosing since the engines are pulled, gutted interiors, no glass, etc.... so it's not like I can just swing on by for a quote.

What kind of cars?

I think ive talked to you before.

Yup, I was actually just going through my PM box and saw those. I am not in WA anymore and finally down in AZ, so its that time.

Car #1 is 99 Civic Coupe, car #2 replica porsche 550 spyder (smaller than the civic).

I drove by the Finish Line address today in their signature and for some reason could not find the place.... turned right off of Van Buren and N. 31st Ave. Don't you work for them?

The problem I am having is that the cars have no engines and will have to be transported on a trailer inwhich I'll have to rent a trailer/truck to transport them. So everyone wants to "see them" to give a quote... the problem I am seeing here is that the cars are COMPLETELY gutted, stripped... no engine, no glass, no wiring, most suspension removed (so will be on car dollies), no tail lights, no headlights, no sunroof, no dash, no interior whatsoever, sound dampening removed, interior sanded already, on steelies, no engine, NOTHING. Should be a painter's dream since the inside and exterior both need sprayed the same color... so it makes no sense to me when people want me to trailer the car to them so they can see it first before a quote.

This will be a repeat type of business, I need one of my projects painted every 2 months. I build the kits so I want someone that wants to take on a project once every 2 months, just block sand and spray. 3 stage paint job.
