Limp Mode
 

vehicle: 94 Acura Integra with b20b with a LS ecu

Can an 02 sensor throw your ecu in to limp mode? The reason i ask is b/c i had an ecu that was chipped and had the 02 sensor turned off but still threw a CEL and when i jumped it still ran the 02 sensor code! Just recently i attained a stock ecu and after connecting it there car wont rev higher then 4 grand and is in limp mode! The reasoning For the stock ecu is b/c i couldnt pass emissions with the 02 senor turned off! The air to fuel ratio kept throwing diffrent numbers at emissions and yes i replaced the Cat with a new one! MEOW!!

I have been running my car without a stock O2 sensor for a while now and its never gone into limp mode. It's gotta be something else yo.

it ran okay with the chipped and tuned ecu... it just wouldnt pass emissions or i assumed was the issuse! Not sure on what to do now.. Is it harmful to the motor to run while on limp mode?

Check the wiring to the speed sensor, i had a car that would randomly go into limp mode and it was because the wiring for the speed sensor was loose.
