do you have a drill press? or you could go to a junk yard and get another lca for lees than $20

shit, weve been drilling slow as hell, its working , but slower than shit. we have another lower control arm but we just dont want to mess with breaking another bolt... we just want to get this thing driveable and than we will let honda deal with replacing the lca. :)

Ive had this happen. What I did was:
-use my sawzall to cut the bolt on both sides, between the shock and LCA so that you could separate it from the shock -Pull out the LCA -WD40 the shit out of it -set up the LCA on a vice or something to where you can start to hammer and punch out the broken bolt It does mess up the bushing a little bit, sorta mushrooms the metal part of it. But the shock will bend a little when you tighten it up, or put some washers in and your golden. Hope this helps! |
thanks for the input matt, we tried that but it wouldnt come out for shit, so we ended up just putting on another lca that i had.. thanks guys. |
