Umm I would solder and or atleast heat shrink the wiring especially being so close to the ground might get some water splashed up that way...

yeah i know i didnt have any at the time.....

Pep boys also sells universal sockets for this. Just make sure to get the 3 wire socket and a double filament bulb if you want it to blink properly

It's funny I did this in my hatch back in the day and so many people talked shit looks good IMO
