ASR SuperLap Time Attack October 17, 2009
 

There's been a lot of chatter about this event & a bunch of people from AZ going, so lets see who's for sure going? & who 'might' be going?



Where: Arroyo Seco Raceway in Deming, NM ; 20030 HWY 549 SE Deming, NM 88030

When: Saturday October 17th, 2009 All day long till the sun goes down.

What: Timed Road Racing

Cost: $35 for timed sessions only or $50 for morning practice & timed sessions, includes transponder rental.

Hotels in Deming are dirt cheap under $50 per night.

Does anyone know if we are running clockwise or counter clockwise?

I just have to convince myself that my car will hold up for the long drive out there...full track day...and long drive back. I've run 5 days on it consecutively without a major problem. [knock on wood]. I used to make one out of state event per year. But I've slacked off the last few years. Haven't run that car outside of AZ since Oct 06. :(

I'm just assuming make sure your car is in good mechanical condition(no leaks, no problems, etc), is SAFE, & you have a helmet you'll be ok. Follow basic SCCA/NASA safety guidelines & I'm sure you'll be ok.

and that food there was pretty good...

Holiday Inn...We stayed there last time and it was comfy and affordable...:thumbup:

Where does everyone park their cars overnight? Is it safe at the hotel? Not like my car is anything special, but I'd like it to still be in the condition I parked it in when I walk out to the lot in the morning. If i sound paranoid, it's because I am. :)

I know the track will be open the night before for people to camp out there if wanted, but I know I'm staying in the hotel :P

One thing I like about new mexico, is they honor az concealed carry permits :)

Hmm, that doesn't sound so bad.

Me and Phil have had ZERO problems with leaving our cars parked overnight at the hotel.

nothing is better then that. tecate is the best!!!

The dudes in Deming wouldn't know what to do with nice Honda parts if they stole them....No clear tails, No Cali headlight conversions no care there.
