ITR going into a GSR Ecu questions

I'm swapping a ITR motor into a buddies 96' GSR. Our goal is for it to run with no cel and pass emissions. My question is will the ITR engine run in the GSR with the original GSR ecu with no cel? I was thinking I may get a cel for the iab seeing how an ITR doesn't use a iab but wasn't positive on that one. If it would throw a cel could I use a ITR ecu? I've heard that the ITR ecu's have immobileizers in them and you can't use the US ITR ecu unless you have that bypassed? Anyone know about that one? Would I need to source down a JDM obd2 ITR ecu to make this all work?

you could use the stock ecu just to get through emissions, iabs dont throw a cel. you can use a usdm 97 or 98 ecu cause they dont have imobilizers.

97-98 usdm itr ecu will work. 00-01 has a imobilizer. Jdm ecu will not communicate with emissions. GSR ecu will throw a code
