s2k problems..

i just resently got an s2000 and it has some weird noise coming from the head... but it not the rockers... i was wondering sence it has a timing chain, can the timing chain guides go out and if so would it make a noise like somthing was rubing or hitting somthing??

any help would be nice cuz the f20c motor is a whole new world to me! all iv delt with is B series...

Yeah, it could be the TCT (Timing Chain Tensioner) if it sounds like a cards in the bike spokes sound or it could just be noisy valves. How bad is it?

ya it sounds like a card in a bikes spokes! lol.. thats a dawm good example! but it comes and goes... mostly when ever i start the car it does it , then it usually goes away...

did you get a valve adjustment? It may be the TCT though...seems to be pretty common

no i haven't done any thing to it sense i got it and that's only been a week. is the tct easy to fix. or do u think it needs replaced ?
