S2000 seats question.

Does anybody know how much tan colored S2000 seats are worth. My friend says they're only worth 200. how can that be when I've never seen tan colored ones before. I've always seen black, some reds, once in a while I'll catch a two tone, but never a tan.

A little help here. I want to choose the right ones for my car.

fasts2k 08-10-2009 02:16 AM

It depends, where did he get them from?

taggart_lumpy 08-10-2009 02:21 AM

well 200 if they are hot, down in fl i usually see s2k seats go from 350-400+ ive seen them as much as 900

jdm egizzle 6 08-10-2009 09:34 AM

Well I never had s2k seats period but I dought that some of the s2k seats sold on this site are not "hot" lik sum say and even thou they are not "hot" they are still been sold for 400+ if I see some been sold for 200 id be all over them

auex 08-10-2009 09:35 AM

Stolen.

4inspeed 08-10-2009 09:47 AM

i think hes asking why the tans sell for cheaper, not that his buddy is selling em that cheap...

s2k seats just like anything are only as valuable as someone see's them. id say they are prolly cheaper cause not to many people are into tan... but just imo

fasts2k 08-10-2009 12:00 PM

On a serious note, some might actually value them more than just the standard black ones as they are rarer. This has more to do with perceived value to the buyer.

azintegra 08-10-2009 01:57 PM

you should be able to get $400 if their in good condition

2000_Silver_EX 08-10-2009 02:41 PM

x2^

just-a-hoe 08-10-2009 03:30 PM

no one ever wants tan seats. cost and demand, just like everything in this economy. more people want black and red so they cost more.

Mighty-Joe 08-10-2009 08:09 PM

Don't really follow what your trying to say broskie.
Thanks you for helping clear that up. I want to know what everyone thinks of tan S2000's and how much they feel they are worth. Not trying to sell for anyone, just looking for some fellow tuners opinion.
Thats what I thought. Because I've never seen tan s2000's til now so I thought they were more rare and worth more.

RDP30000 08-10-2009 08:52 PM

There rare because no one wanted the tan interior in there S, and that hasn't really changed over the years. Tan and blue seats are both on the unpopular list, but you should still be able to get $400. Ive heard of some people trading S2000 parts for a mint condition blender plus cash, keep your ears open.

Mighty-Joe 08-10-2009 11:48 PM

A blender? :(

GroceryStore_ninja 08-12-2009 10:36 AM

the blender is a long story but yes the tans were un popular but can look really good

GunnRulF 08-12-2009 02:22 PM

Mint condition you say huh?? How many speeds? I just might be interested.. Pics of said blender?

Mighty-Joe 08-14-2009 07:07 AM

X2. I am not familiar with this blender.

bb4arson 08-14-2009 07:16 AM

how much do they weight?
man i hate when people steal s2ks just for there seats..idiots.

92SiSpoon 08-14-2009 01:22 PM

hell fucking yeah my blender has made it to another site!!!!

on a side note, i have red ones and they are worth more. if i had a red car, i would want the tan for a ferarri'esk look.

i would want the blue if i was color blind. i would want the black if i lived a couple states north, but even still the red looks the best IMO

Mighty-Joe 08-15-2009 05:39 PM

OMG can someone please tell me what a blender is!

Ludehrt 08-17-2009 01:35 PM

I think the black ones are the most un-popular seats. They absorb the most heat plus they are not JDM tight yo’ like the red ones
But a blender…..those are coming back into style!

GroceryStore_ninja 08-17-2009 04:44 PM

I would give up 3 black seats 1 red seat and 3 1/2 tan seats for a blender

92SiSpoon 08-19-2009 01:08 PM

Sold, please specify color and dimensions of blender desired

jjdawg22 09-03-2009 01:06 PM

oh and I have no problems with trading for the v8-style blender

S2KVITO 10-01-2009 01:06 PM

Damn! I'm sry this forum is sketchy.Your friend probably knows there stolen that's why he's telling you to unload them for cheap.I have owned Two S2Ks and I would love to know why ppl jack seats??? Its not mad jdm yo and you won't get any type of praise at shows, ppl will automatically assume you stole them or bought them from a thief if there not installed in an S2k.This pisses me off, just for the record I've had a few buddies who's S2000's were claimed total losses because some bonesmugglers stole there seats espically older model s2000's,because the cost to replace the seats is so expensive most insurance companies cut the owner a check and they usually get screwed. so do the right thing..JESUS IS WATCHING..

BigCountry 10-01-2009 10:19 PM

I have S2k's in my Ek hatch and I get a lot of praise from ppl and mine aren't hot.... but I am originally from TN though lol

Mighty-Joe 10-01-2009 11:05 PM

Look here s2kvito. First of all learn some info and fully read a thread before you decide to pump your chest up and open your mouth. The seats are mine! I bought them legit. Ever heard of car accidents? The friend I referred to in the original post was my boy Big A I asked how much could I sell them for in the event I grow tired of them and/or don't want them. He doesn't own them I do! This thread is to simply verify if the worth of the seats is accurate from what I was told. Nobody likes a thief, and i feel that who ever buys stolen property is just as much of a thief as the one who stole it in the first place. do your research and ask questions before you decide to post messages like that noob. your likely to get banned if you do that to the wrong person.

Mighty-Joe 10-01-2009 11:08 PM

Thank you for helping clear up that NOT every pair of s2k seats that's NOT installed in an s2000 is stolen.
