VX emissions question

...for the two people that know anything about the VX.

I'm failing emissions but I don't have a check engine light. I'm only failing one of the numbers but the other is so close to failing that I'm sure it will creep over next year unless this years fix happens to fix both.

I took it to a shop in Mesa and they recommended I replace the catalytic converter. Unfortunately, the VX cat connects to the exhaust manifold, only OReilly, Autozone, Amazon and Ebay don't seem to know the difference between the VX cat and the cat for other trims. I ended up buying the wrong cat from autozone hoping it was just the picture that was wrong on the website.

So, I have a lot of questions about this. Should I even change my cat--with no check engine light, is there somewhere else I should look first? If it's my cat, where can I find one? Autozone may have one that looks close to the one in the manual, but it's about $500.

Post your results (emissions)
If you're to buy a cat for it buy OEM Honda, because the others obviously don't fit.

I don't have the papers with me (left them with the shop), but my guesstimates are these:

For the one that has a limit of something like 1200, mine was 1350ish.
For the one that's .80, mine was .76. That was a pass, but barely.

I have a cx with a manifold cat. It failed emissions when I let my friend borrow the exhaust. He went to a mexican shop and they just hacked the exhaust and welded a cat in. Its not pretty but you don't see it unless you are underneath the car.

Update: found four different manufacturers of what I need at Rockauto.com, so that's something at least. Just not sure the cat is what I want to try next.
