Removing Vinyl from Tailights Help!

So my redouts are finally fading after 4 years, I got a new set.

What is the safest and most effective way to remove the old vinyl off my taillights without damaging them?

Thanks in Advance!

I'd try a clothes steamer first. Thats what I used for my window tint and it kept the tint from breaking apart or leaving residue. Follow it up with goo gone or nail polish remover

I'm not worried about the old vinyl breaking, I just want it to peel up

could I use goo gone + heat gun?

Use a steamer. Buy it and return it when done. Heat gun may get too hot. Steamer will melt the glue and also help the left over residue come off with ease

However whichaway you will have to use heat to break the bond with the lens.

My shark iron has a steamer feature, my gf in her infinite wisdom just reminded me

But it is nice to get most the residue off along with the tint :)
You can try that iron and if not I'd just use a blow dryer and then goo gone. I'd be kinda iffy using a heat gun on plastic

1 cup softened butter or margarine
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder

Mix it then rub it all over your tailight leave it to sit for 20 min and the sticker will pop off.

there isn't really any adhesive, it is more of a cling, I had to soak it with soap/water to get it to stick.

Razor blade and time. No glue so no need to heat up.

have a chance to scratch the lights.

I'd try the steamer first, then heat gun and worst case, RAZOR BLADE OF DOOOMM!!!!!

btw, you where from washington? what brought you to this shitty state?

I removed mine easily. Just heat up a corner and the vinyl will get soft again and you can began peeling. If you have a plastic razor blade that will even help more.

Lmk if you cant get it.

You can try a , mostly heat make the glue soften which is holding the sticker. But don't do it overheated, you can heat that for 30 secs on high and see if it peel able, yes then peel it off with your hand or some blade. Good luck, tell me about your experience.

you did not read the part where it does not have adhesive
