I swapped a d16z6 into my Ek And switched out the dizzy altenator And injectors pluged everything in and tried to start can will not turn at all have new battery and am using ek harness any ideas will be appreciated

What ECU are you running? OBD1 or 2...
Sounds like you need a virgin p28 ecu (5spd or auto, depending on your application) and an ecu jumper harness, obd2a-obd1.
Ok now I fixed the cranking issue car cranks but no spark checked all the fuses and are good main relay clicks seems good haven't replaced the dizzy with a new and am still using a p2p a12 ecu any ideas ?
Still going with running a p28 instead of p2p
Your p2p is trying ro run a y8. Which has a different ignition/mechanical timing than a z6.
Oh ok so I would a jumper harness also ? Cuz my harness in obd2 ?
Yes
Like the other gent said, your current ecu is trying to run a non-vtec head. Grab a p28 and an obd2a to obd1 jumper. Plug it in and hit the vtec. Also if the block is from a non-vtec setup you need to remove a piece on the block that feeds oil to the vtec solenoid.
P2p is a vtec ecu as is a p28. Just diff ingition points in the combustion cycle.
Cant forget the crank and knock sensors
I think the z6 have knock sensor, i maybe wrong. But with a p2p for sure needs to read crank sensor to determine the firing prder but ypu can bypass it or use a p28 |
Well i got a jumper harness And obd1 ecu still have no spark idk wat else to do or check ?
Lol
P2p will run the z6 no problem. you have other issues if you have no spark. Try another known good distributor. |
Yea that's what I was Gona try next hopefully that's it
Tried a new dizzy still no spark
just a quick question and not asking to be a deuch but how did you test for spark?
Fixed the problem Now i have a Vaccum problem my d16z6 swap came with a y8 intake manifold And nun of the hose or plugs match with my harness if i swtich out the the y8 maní fold for the one that came from the orginal engine from the car would that solve my Vaccum problem ?
Z6 is a y8 just different obd system. If you pulled out a y8 swapped everything over to the z6 it should work with the p2p ecu no problem. It's not the ecu. You might have to swap over some sensors.
