Love 2 two last pics!

i think you have a good eye...it just seems like some of your pics lack the art side of photography... maybe i'm just not seeing it, but a lot of your pics could be sooooo much better if you added just a little something to your angle of the shot, or a different focus point. like you said you're a hobbyist, so take this as you want, its just some constructive criticism.
|
I kind of have a method based approached. Since I bought the SLR and a few lenses, I am more concerned with learning the proper settings, editing, and usage of my equipment, then I will start to focus on the artisit side.
However, you are correct, most of my pics I spend more time playing with lenses and settings then really looking at the scene/angles/composure , but that will change, I am getting the hang of the camera and whatnot. |
|
sounds like you are on the right track. keep it up man i like your stuff

Your Reasoning at least? Last time I checked this was a pubic forum. And if you are referring that my photos are not good enough to have a thread, then thats your opinion, at least give some creative advice instead of being an ass. Maybe you did not read the first post Where I clearly stated "I am not a Pro" and that "I did not want to muck up the photo of the day thread" |
Thanks,
It's actually whichever lake is out on apache trail/ 88 :P |
nice pics man

hey paul when you are focusing on shift nobs and whatnot, use a lower fstop so the back ground and edges blur a little... it makes your focus point stand out more.
|
cool pics!
|
ill focus on your knob
|
I love these pics
you should have your own website ;) |
lmao i knew it. :superghey:

|
dang.. you've got a hard on for that 50mm huh? lol
|
Haha its new, so of course I am going to use it alot :)
I stumbled on a good deal for serveral lenses, so I am sure there will be lots more pics of questionable quality taken with them haha. |
well for our Sony's, look into the Minolta Beer Can as a nice cheap zoom (constant f4 aperture). Typically can be had for between 150-200 bucks and they're nice and crispy stopped down a small amount.
|
I have a couple zooms already, that I like. I was going to get a beercan, but did not want to buy one when I already have a couple good zooms :p
If I find a killer deal on one I will pick one up, but I alread have a Sony 75-300mm 4.5-5.6 and a Tamron 28-200mm 3.8-5.6. |
