dc dash in an eg

i want to swap dashes a gsr dash into my 92 si.

what all is needed?
do the harnesses plug right in?
steering colum?
i herd the dash needs to get trimed on the sides is this true or false?

FranktheTank 06-15-2009 11:28 AM

its a lot of work.
and then the door panels dont match and will need to be remodeled to fit the dc dash.

dragoonjoe13 06-16-2009 10:09 AM

so using dc door panels is out of the question.
im tryin to sort out myth from fact.

ive done it in the past, we use to trim the door panels and then re fiberglass em and re-wrapped em

I have this complete swap for sale. Let me know if you are interested. You can see it in my car before I take it out.

Devist8 07-13-2009 12:09 PM

I have the dash already wired, and most of the stuff needed to do it, an yes the door panels have to be cut, and it works best if you get the gsr heater blower motor and dash side mounts.

churchyegvtec 07-14-2009 10:56 AM

blair from collective autoworks has done this hit him up

eghead 07-15-2009 09:21 AM

have done it twice for 2 friends and in my opinion looks whack.. Not hard and nowadays it is super easy especially with step by step on HT..

dragoonjoe13 07-17-2009 08:41 AM

burgerforce23 09-01-2009 11:12 PM

Civicious 09-02-2009 12:37 AM

id say dont do it. if u have an si, keep it an si

builtem1 09-04-2009 10:34 AM

lol ya thats good way of doin it Jk i say go ahead and try it wont see what happens till u try it gl

projectaccord 12-03-2009 11:32 AM

so did you attempt it? my wifes hatch has The conversion done and we think it looks awesome. It comes out a little further than the eg dash but it adds more of a luxury feeling imo. Were in the process of rewrapping the panels and honestly its a pretty big pain in the ass.

dragoonjoe13 12-20-2009 02:34 PM

kinda been spendin my time with other stuff. the bad seems to out weigh the good.
