well aarons got a thread so i figured it would be ok if i did one. for starters my name is mike, im 27 and im a detroit diesel engine tech by day actually night now. anyways ive been into the go fast seen for about 10 years now and about 6 years ago i wanted to build an intake manifold for my gti. well luckily my work has a tig welder, so a few weeks of dicking around after work and i was able to lay beads on aluminum (which looked like bird shit but i thought they were damn good back then) so i went ahead and built an intake manifold. i then wanted to do more stuff to my car on my own like porting the head, so i took a stab at that too. well 6 years, lots of time, research and practice later ive gotten a bit better then back then and do this steadily on the side out of my garage now. i primarily deal with neons/srt's and ever so often dsms but im always up for doing new stuff. i havent done much steel so thats not my strong point i do tons of aluminum though. hover the next few days ill post up some stuff ive done in the past and stuff thats been more recent, the shitty thing is there isnt alot of variety because i primarily deal with the mentioned vehicles above. owell no biggie there, feel free to comment. mods if theres any issues pleas let me know.

heres one of the things im most proud of that i built for myself, my itb's for my neon. now i built these 3 years ago but i still have them and actually had them on my new neon about 2 months ago, i dont know if any u guys saw me at the pavs or out at jack in the box across from armondos.......

got bored with my stock sounding tahoe and instead of buying an expensive air raid or k&n intake i took about 5 hours and made one with some 4" aluminum pipe i had laying around and the air box is actually a moroso batt box (i think it was moroso).......

ii put the tag in these pics cause the owner didnt want it welded on due it being a on a "clean" show car in which the manifold was gonna be mirror polished and so people would know its one of mine for future referance.

ok heres a srt head that i did some street strip porting on a few weeks ago.......

those intake ports will do ~290 cfm and the exhaust ports will do ~ 220 cfm @ .500"

and the last post of the night will be this dohc neon head thats going on len ayalas (some of u may have heard of him) outlaw neon. hes looking to make 900-1000whp on his car and heres the head thats going on it......... i didnt get this head flow benched but when comparing it to some of my other heads numbers im guessing this head should conservatively flow ~ 320cfm on the intake side and 240cfm on the exhaust side @ .500"........

i dont have a flow bench unfortunately, i have ray at basko do all mine, so these flow results are not biased in any way. i drop off a head, they flow it, i pay, they give me my head and printout. i wish i had one, then i could do just the smallest stweaks and see what they do to flow........ and flow the intake manifolds too. i have not done any honda stuff yet......... mainly becasue theres so many people that do honda head work nationally ( portflow, rlz, head games, endyn, etc) that not many people will trust somebody theyve never heard of. actually i take that back i did a d15 or 16 head for my machinist a few weeks ago, it was nothing special, ill see if i can get it and gets some pics of it tomorrow when i go up there. anyways thats basically why. but then about a month ago i was up at tri tec with my machinist and was talking to henry joe and a few other people and they said there were no locals that do good head porting, so i thought hmmm, ok =) and no back to back dynos yet

in this pic the back of the plenum has been tapered by aarons guys at honey well to allow a little more flow through the rad hose, then what it was allowing. the top was restricting th e flow i think they tapered the bottom to make it symetrical.......

some of u may also have seen reggies nova out at speed workd during some of the grude racing or fastest street car events. i didi his new boost pipe, cross over pipe and exhaust, that 5" stainless exhaust is the hotness! i didnt do the headers and will not take credit for them. heres right after i was done (still hadnt redone the boost piping yet in these pics)........

nope, i work out of my one car garage, technically its a 2 car but my drag car is in it also so i work basically out of a 1 car garage area. i cant afford to open a shop.
