intake pipes

Which do y'all think is better a cold air intake or a short ram intake?

there's no such thing as a cold-air intake, it just brings in air not as heated by the engine bay and often is the cause of hydrolock, the short ram usually suffers from heatsoak but is better for rainy/floody environments

you decide

So here in az the "cold air" is better?

until monsoon season sure, make sure you have a hydroshield or a bypass installed for monsoon season

Okay cool thanks for the knowledge

Thing with the bypass is the extra power gained from a long tube(cold air) is pretty much voided. I saw 3-5whp power loss on the dyno with it on my friends car. :/
3" pipe with smooth bends is ideal pulling in the coolest air possible always does great. I have actually seen a stock intake make more power than a short ram because its a sealed box pulling air from the fender well.
