WTF?! lol That's a niceon wanting to get used. Everything else is too unnecessary when moving around a lot. Pelican would be next if traveling by plane or long distance for sure.

I have a METZ 50mz-5 MecaBlitz flash unit that i want to sell. It's A GIANT... here is a link to get an idea, i will get pics when i can.



it's pretty close to this setup. i also found that metz does make digital modules for the dslrs now, always wanted to buy one (they're about 60-75 dollars).

here is what i have:

only thing i don't have is the bracket but they are like 20 bucks on ebay.

All good man. The 70-200 F4L IS is fuckin sick man. I LOVE mine. I need to get out and use it more. Canon is doing their instant rebates right now till Jan 2010 so its a good time to buy. Pretty sure Newegg has it the cheapest right now @ $1199.99 with an instant $75 off making it $1124.99. Luckily I got mine right before Newegg raised their price. It used to be $1099 regular price before the rebates came out.

Who knows, I may have it. Its on craigs and I already got one call today on it but he didn't seem serious.

You could always put off your 70-200 a lil bit since the rebates are going till Jan ;)

Thanks, it really has been a fantastic camera. I hate all sony products except their cameras, I went out on a limb and bought this one because for the money it was the best point and shoot out there, and DSLRs then were more money. I bought a sony DSLR because i loved this camera so much. I almost hate to get rid of it, but I do not use it anymore. The original batteries are still working great, and get about 300-400 pics per charge depending on flash/exposure/etc.

I ordered it from Newegg this morning but I fucked up and forgot to update my debit card # so the order got held up. I REALLY wanted it for this weekend but now it ain't gonna happen. I'm a little pissed off but its my fault for not updating my info. Kinda pissed that Newegg didn't send me the email notification till 7:45pm when obviously it would be too late to still get overnight shipping so I have it by Friday. If I would have known earlier in the day, like right away or if their online shit would have just showed the card didn't go thru cause the cc# was invalid, that would have helped me get it straightened out ASAP......but whatevers.

Ah well, shit happens. I am going to Tempe Camera in the morning to try and haggle with them because their pricing is like $200 more than all the online vendors......plus sales tax is a bitch. We'll see. If they want a sale, they'll price match, if not.........I'll bounce and order it online.

I might change the order though and get the Canon 16-35 f/2.8 II L instead to use on my 5d2. The ultra wide angle might be more usable for automotive stuff and I kinda miss having a ultra wide angle since I sold the last 2 I owned.

Drawback is the 16-35 is $1520 online, about $220 more than the 24-70 2.8L was gonna run me. Buuuuut when you're spending that much cash, who the fuck cares about another $200 right? lol.

Who knows, maybe it was a sign because I kept going back and fourth all night between those 2 lenses till like 4am trying to decide which one to buy.

BTW, what does my lens purchase have to do with yours? lol......buy what you want dude!
