Help! Cucumber problem.
 

88 civic wagon 1.5 l
Car idles fine but when driven for about 30 minutes it starts to hesitate hard around 3k rpm and won't go past the hesitation. This happens in every gear.

is there a check engine light on? :autored:

how long ago were the usual suspects replaced? cap, rotor, plugs, wires? :autored:

Seems like everything these days is distribunator related... So old these things are getting

i beat the shit out of my wagon everyday with a 25 year old 256k distribunator.
that being said they have always been the weak link in hondas.
thing is your "dizzy" can be great but when trying to go thru noem cap rotor and wires it all gets a little pissy and non liking the situation :autored:

If your ever in tucson I have a dx dizzy you can have lol

My car did the same thing but it was fuel pump it would lose pressure so made it seem like something else because it wouldn't cut out all together
