slammed teg uneven front end

so as for me lowering my car all the way. i measured b4 i slammed the car. so after that i decided to take all the perches out on all coil. as for the front end its a difference of about a quarter inch. i took all the perches on the driver side off and took only one perche out on the passenger. the passenger side sits lower than the driver side by a quarter inch. remember that i took all the perches out on the driver ok? but no matter wat, the passenger side is lower. i want to kno why its like that? dont mind bout the grammar or punctuation cuz i'm buzzing. thx for help in advance.

any number of things can cause uneven ride height. have you inspected the bushings? have you inspected the core support or frame of the car at all?

everything is fine. just my strut towers is all banged up. imma check everything on wednesday to see why its uneven.

fRoSt 07-31-2010 12:35 AM

ok. so i checked the strut towers again and my driver side skunk2 pro camber kit is sitting right on the strut tower. the passenger side which is lower isnt even touching the strut tower. hmmm. somethings fishy???

Has the car ever been in a wreck?

fuckin lol@ VVVV

yes but thats not the point. i hit my front end on the passenger side. it suppose to change that side, not the driver side. wen it had all the perches on which is 2 of them, it was almost the same height bud. i took both of it off to max out the drop, but it only moved down by a 1/4 inch. both perches is more than 1/2 an inch. remember i said driver side is sitting on camber kit. passenger is lower but isnt even touching. i aint home so no tools to take it apart to see wats wrong. gotta wait a bit. maybe tuesday is good to do this.

same here

If the wreck tweaked the body it's hard to say where you'd see the effect. You might have a body shop check the unibody for a tweak.

Good luck man.

it was a body shop that fixed it. they had to cut part of the fender to get it to straighten. like i said, the passenger side is the side that got hit on the front end collision. but it sits lower like how i adjust it. the driver side doesnt do wat it want it to. i'll just have to check the whole underside of the frame too then and see wats goin on.

a big hammer will always fix uneven stuff!!!
good luck!

just may your strut is seized not allowing it to lower ,, dont know just thought i would throw that in

fRoSt 08-04-2010 09:30 PM

ok i checked already. everything is fine and in measurements but the damn strut tower is still sitting on the upper control arm (driverside only). and yes its still sitting higher than the passenger side which is lower without touching the strut tower. i'll guess i'll just let it notch my frame by itself then rebuild the strut towers later on. its busted already so no point now. lol
