Derp. Nope.
sorry running on zero sleep and misread your post. |
For anyone who is unable to participate due to financial issues or car builds, I am in need of new flaggers. You can earn some money or earn some credit towards track time. Help me help you! PM me for details.

You can not put and oil pressure sending unit in the pan but you can do an oil temp sensor there.... I would get a sandwich plate oil filter adapter and put both oil pressure and temperature in that. I did that on my fit.

I didnt think so. But maybe Gabe knew something new lol

Define race tires?
|
Used, but in great shape, almost too good to sell but if you had too- then for a steal of a price to such a studious individual who will accept gracefully the gratitude of a sticky pre heat cycled slick road race composition made by some of the cool brand names that are ment to be driven directly on the track... Ok so I don't know that much and the differences between the brands and how long they'll last but I wanna try them to see what it's like-

I will be there, first time at this track and pretty excited.
|
You didn't define race tires. Are you looking for used RS3's or used cycled out hoosiers?
|
I wanted to try the Hoosiers, I have the nt05s which have the same tread wear as the rs3's although I can't compare them. What you got mayn?

I would highly advise against what you are wanting to do. RS3's and NT05's are very different (The RS3's are significantly higher performing).
Cycled out hoosiers are like glass and are a good way to find out where the limits were as you blow by them :) Generally speaking, safe tires to buy used would include NT01, RS3, R888, A048's... Dependent predominantly on time and secondly heat cycles (the older the tire, the more garbage it becomes due to chemical reactions with air). What sizes do you need? |
Oh gezzz ok, I need 235 40 17
|
I might just get those new, good prices on handkooks
|
I would highly recommend getting NEW RS3's. It's a zero risk purchase. They are an amazing tire for the price, and won't get you in over your head grip wise / mask driver error much.
Much better than buying used tires that may stop your driver growth. |
Good info, thanks bro

Hoosiers would not be a good choice for an HPDE car.
Their grip only lasts about 8-15 head cycles. That's one - two weekends. A good high performance street tire like an RS3, at your skill level, will be just as fast and last you for 12 months. |
I know it's last minute guys but just like we thought we are not running inde next year. It is one of if not the best track we have in az..... try to make it out this may be your only chance in a while.
|
This is the same size I have on my civic. I'll be at the track with it. I have toyo r1r on it now and the last time I ran rs3. Both so far have been great tires. If i remember right the rs3 didn't come in the size you need. It came in 235 45 17 which is a little taller of a tire. That's the reason I switched to the toyos to get the 40 series cause it was a clearance issue.
|
Kk, I might have the same prob, I couldn't get what I wanted in time for this track but I might have to do that for the next

Or run a 225 :) the 10mm difference won't matter in the long run vs the compound! Compound > tire size. Or use the toyo :)
|
Dang guess I'm done for some time. Next 2 events are on rent checks and I'm still the only income.. member ship renewal is March. sucks to suck. :'(
