what HG are you running on your sohc turbo?
 

Im looking to boost my Y8. Im probably going small like a t25/t28 internal wastegate 7-10lbs nothing special. I already have all arp hardware an normally I get oem or fel-pro head gaskets, but not to sure if they are good for boost?

So my questions are should I get a oem, fel-pro, cometic, or GE HG? ...And what are you running with your sohc turbo?

I don't wanna sound like a cheap ass, but if its not necessary to upgrade for the boost I plan to run then why spend the extra cash...

Oem or GE

I just had an OEM HG when I was building my sohc turbo. That should be adequate for psi goals

shit looks kinds sketchy tho. like its a repackaged ebay gasket.

I used a fel-pro pushed 20psi made 297 on my vitara build HG, had no issues

Use fel-pro on a 400hp z6 never had a issue

I've not had any issues with Cometic. I'm currently running a .040" cometic due to decking the block when I built the motor. Typically I would run OEM if I didn't need the extra thickness. I have run cometic on a lot of motors without any issues. (B-series)
